PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Pittsburgh Steelers released cornerback Bryant McFadden and wide receiver Arnaz Battle Wednesday in an attempt to start clearing salary cap room.
Both are veterans and played limited roles for the Steelers in 2011.

McFadden is a seven-year NFL veteran, drafted by the Steelers in 2005.
Battle played mostly on special teams for the Steelers.
Other roster moves:
- The Steelers also released tight end Miguel Chavis and linebacker Erik Clanton. Both were signed to futures contracts.
- Pittsburgh signed cornerback Myron Rolle, wide receiver Juamorris Stewart and linebacker Brandon Hicks.
