I look for the Steelers to move around a good bit in this draft. Kevin Colbert made known in the Steelers pre draft press conference that this is not a strong draft. There were only 7-10 surefire picks in his mind. There also were not many guys who could make an impact on this team. Most of the later guys were practice squad guys.
So if none of these guys really are going to make the team the Steelers could be looking to move around in the draft and pick up the guys that they want. Even if it costs them some later picks. There is no point in wasting picks on practice squad guys if you can move up and get an impact player in the earlier rounds.
The Steelers also have 3 7th round comp picks to fall back on. If they trade away their 5th, 6th or 7th round picks they still can build depth with those 3 picks. They are untradeable picks.
