Pittsburgh – WHIRL Magazine announces the addition of a new Contributing
Editor to its masthead, Pittsburgh Steelers kicker and two-time Super Bowl
Champion Jeff Reed. “Jeff has a great talent as a writer and we are glad he
has joined our team,” said Editor in Chief, Christine Tumpson.
The August issue of WHIRL, now on newsstands, features an exclusive essay by
Reed, “Out There Grindin’.” Reed pens his feelings on training camp, a
seventh Super Bowl Championship, and the definition of hard work. “I am out
to be the one and only best, not second best,” he writes.
Reed majored in journalism at the University of North Carolina, and wrote
his first published essay, “Team Resiliency” for WHIRL’s Super Bowl XLIII
Collectors’ Edition.
