The sexual assault civil suit against Ben Roethlisberger seems to have taken a turn in the positive direction for Mr. Roethlisberger and the Steelers. An affidavit released August 7th 2009 by a coworker (Angela Antonetti ) of the accuser Andrea McNulty adds significant details regarding previous conversations as former Harrah’s employees:
Below are a few highlights of the affidavit:
“During the course of my work as an Executive Casino Host at Harrah’s, I worked closely with Andrea. Based upon my experience with her and my observations of her performance prior and after she obtained the position of Casino Host, I would not have recommended or approved the hiring of Andrea. As a result of my prior experience and observation, I found that Andrea did not possess the necessary skills or attitude for the Casino Host Job Andrea was not profession, reliable or organized, all of which were skills required to perform the job of Casino Host.”
“Most Casino Hosts wear professional attire including business suits. On many occasions, I observed that Andrea dressed inappropriately for the positions of Casino Host. On frequent occasions, I observed Andrea wearing scantily clad and provocative clothing.”
“About one week after the 08’ Golf Tournament, Andrea told me that she had “been with” Ben Roethlisberger during the 08’ Golf Tournament. I understood from Andrea’s comment that she had consensual sex with Mr. Roethlisberger. In observing her demeanor during this conversation, Andrea did not appear upset, stressed-out or nervous. In fact, Andrea told me about her encounter with Mr. Roethlisberger she appeared happy and boastful about what happened. During this discussion, Andrea never indicated that she was assaulted in any way. Nor did she comment in any fashion that the alleged sexual interaction that she had with Mr. Roethlisberger was anything other than consensual.”
“On or about July 21, 2009, I was driving home from the gym and I heard on the radio that Andrea McNulty identified as an employee at Harrah’s had sued Ben Roethlisberger alleging that Mr. Roethlisberger had raped her during the 08’ Golf Tournament
When I heard this radio report, I immediately knew that the Andrea McNulty that I knew and who had told me her liaison with Mr. Roethlisberger was consensual was the same Andrea McNulty making these false allegations against Mr. Roethlisberger. I was absolutely shocked because I knew Andrea’s allegations that Ben Roethlisberger raped her was false. Because I knew that Andrea’s lawsuit and false allegations would unfairly and unjustly hurt Mr. Roethlisberger, I wanted to set the story straight.”
