i think it shows again how classy this organization is and why players love to be here. they could have waited until this salary cap mess exploded and really took advantage of #83, that they quietly worked a deal ahead of time indicates they look at players as more than slabs of meat.

Aside from the fact that he is one of the best TE's in the league, I'm thrilled because I just bought a #83 Miller jersey and was afraid he might leave after next year.

No figures to report yet, that will be interesting when they are released. It will be interesting to see his cap hit for this upcoming year; the Steelers are up against the cap ceiling if I recall correctly.

Glad to have him in the fold for a lot more years. The Rooneys, Colbert and Khan are trying their best to keep this team together. Heath F'ing Miller a Steeler for 6 more years...woohooo That deserves some :P

The Steelers came to a contract extension with tight end Heath Miller tonight that will pay him $35.3 million over the next six seasons.

Miller had one year left on the five-year contract he signed as a rookie, when he was their first-round draft choice in 2005. The contract includes a $12.5 million signing bonus.
