I was talking to a girl whose mom knows another mom whose daughter went to grade school with Heath and they said he really hates everything about Pittsburgh. Being from Virginia he hates Yankees and thinks since Gettysburg is in Pennsylvania anything to do with Pennsylvania is bad because his great, great, great grandfather's cousin was at Gettysburg.
I expect he will get out of town as fast as he can.
Ben also is known to be a friend of heath's and he likes girls and goes to bars. He also had at least one drink while underage in college and it is reported talked to at least 3 girls in college while both drinking and not drinking. He also failed to turn in 3 homework assignments that are weighing heaviliyon him and he is unlikely to perform well this season until this is resolved. My cousin's friend's beautician knows this because her daughter was one of the girls.
You forgot to mention that the girl you were talking to was "a hot babe that you chatted with on the internet all day" and that we should all be jealous. And you forgot to mention that Heath once killed a guy with a bowstaff.
I heard he killed the guy with a ballpoint pen. It was on an internet chat room yesterday.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"
I take back my GOSSIP and BOW DOWN to YOU STEELER GODS and say I'm SORRY for even starting such a dumb post.
This is one thing I'm sooooooooo glad to be WRONG about.
GOOO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!
I thought they would wait to extend Heath, giving him an RFA tender or franchise tag next season (depending on the CBA situation), and would extend Clark and/or Reed first. I'm happy to be wrong about that, considering that I have thought that Heath has been the top priority among our impending free agents for some time now.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
Florio posted the updated top paid TE list for this year on PFT today in his article about Heath's deal.
Dallas Clark of the Colts has a $6.9 million annual average.
Tampa's Kellen Winslow is at $6.5 million per year
Tony Gonzalez of the Falcons is at $6.25 million.
Broncos' Daniel Graham averages $6 million.
Jeremy Shockey of the Saints is at $5.1 million.
Heath's $5.88 annual average puts him at No. 5 among all NFL tight ends, bumping Shockey from the top 5 list.

Can't believe that Witten is not top 5. He is the only thing that makes Romo look remotely good.

IMO he is a bargain

I'm very happy that Heath Miller is locked up. He is one of the few well rounded, multi-dimensional TEs in the game today, and I'm glad that he is going to be a Steeler for the forseeable future.
At first, the numbers seemed a tad high to me (then again, they always do), but top 5 TE money is probably just about right for Miller, and by the end of his deal, I'm sure that the salary will be something that both Miller and the Steelers are happy me.

Now that they have him locked up, they will throw to him more.... they just didn't want to pad his stats and make him unsignable last year.

Witten is also the reason Romo sucks... he is not a WR and shouldn't be used as one.

if we throw to Miller more we won't win games.. it means the WR's aren't getting open and Ben isn't looking downfield.
I hate when Ben overlooks Miller but you can't deny the success we have in the role he plays. IMO if he gets more touches he won't make the Heath play when we really need him because he will be accounted for.

But if the other team is scheming to account for Heath, that means there may be an extra opening for Sweed, or something to that effect.

anyway you flip it... it's a great problem to have... blame Ben for not being able to throw 2 footballs at once
We've all been speculating on the terms of the contract. I have question for the resident capologists. Since, next year is going to be uncapped would it make sense and is it legal (in an NFL way) to pay Heath the majority of this contract next year to ease the burden on the cap over the final 4 years?
