I agree. While people applaud KP's low interceptions, when you combine it with the low TDs it's a sign that maybe he isn't taking enough risks to make the big plays. Good QBs overcome the INTs during the course of a game.

But Kenny NEEDED TO AVOID taking risks because risk/reward tended to reward the OTHER team disproportionately.

If a QB can throw 5 TDs for every one pick THAT is a risk reward ratio I would LOVE to have EVERY WEEK.

Pickett will be given another opportunity because he is a young QB. Similar to the opportunity that Kordell had with Cowher.

How would you had like to see it play out? For me it would be no question that KP is the future at QB. The Steelers are in no mans land when it comes to the QB position. They have a young QB who they are attempting to develop while winning as many games as possible. They have Trubisky who was supposed to be the bridge but he is stealing money. They have MR who will probably get an offer as a FA to become a starter. This is the reality.

I don't know if KP is the future at QB. The Steelers will give him another opportunity since they drafted him in the 1st round of the draft.

The 3rd year is a key year for KP with the Steelers. The Steelers have him until his 4th season in the NFL. KP could have a long career as a back up if the Steelers cut him or let him become a FA.

I think you are being sarcastic but this IS true too. This is why Mason deserves more respect relative to Kenny.

IF MASON TEARS IT UP ELSEWHERE HE AINT NO GUARD. IF HE WINDS UP BETTER THAN KENNY SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT SHOULD END HIM IN PITTSBURGH.

It will communicate he picked a QB because he LIKES one guy over the other. When you listen to him talk about Kenny it is CLEAR he likes the PERSON. Mason? The exact opposite.

It was also clear he did not LIKE Dotson. Evaluation of players on that basis is stupid.

No excuse for that and would show a level of stubbornness that WOULD mean he simply not up to the challenge.

I will say though that every coach has his favorites. Usually that's based on performance and not personality.
