2024 QB draft prospects

Everyone realized KP8 just broke the Steelers QB record for passes w/o and interception and is building on it every pass he throws?

We are not taking a QB #1 or #2 or 33. We have other needs including Center, DL, OT, and possibly CB.

We are frustratingly patient and the results show why we don't make rash decisions. LT, DL, C, LB, CB, WR

no idea what order but these are the positions we will focus on.

Number 3 guy is a FA again after this season.

Number 2 guy is signed through 2025. Considering his contract, he will definitely be back next season (higher dead cap hit than savings in 2024) and easier to be cut in '25.

Trubisky is awful. And should not be retained; Rooney needs to eat the guaranteed portion of money in that contract and move on from him. We've seen enough of him.

I don't think we'll cut him right after extending him.

And the primary benefit of a good backup QB is probably more on the sidelines and coaching up the starter vs. playing on the field. I think Mitch is a good team mate by all accounts.

Thanks, DJ. I have to add a few more slots but it will probably change a few hundred times before the draft. I’m struggling with ILB and WR, which is more important for us the draft.

There are some nice Qb prospects playing today. And they will play in some big bowl games and the college final four.

If you think Pickett is not a " game manager " and is capable of winning playoff games, we disagree Chuck. You think the Steelers do not to draft a QB, early, I do. Message boards are all about opinions are they not?

The WR coming out a decent lot that I have seen. And their depth is good.

The ILB's really don't have many 1-3 round prospects that fit the modern game of football. This is to say they are three down players capable of playing coverage. Such a players needs to be big and enough to cover TE's, and fast enough to cover backs. These types are rare. And of course they need to be good enough to make plays vs. the run and shed and tackle. There are a few guys who fit that mold and you have to spend a 1st or 2nd round pick to get one of them.

trust me, we know all about how you think we should draft a QB round 1. You tell us in damn near every post.

I have a new format I will be using close to draft time, I’ve never seen it anywhere before.

It could really catch on.

And yes, I don’t foresee the Steelers taking a QB before round 4, more than likely Round 5 or below. I do think they will take one in the late rounds.
