Bench Kenny

might be a coincidence but seems like the more time you take the higher the chance for injury.Everybody says the OL is crap and Kenny needs a better OL. In another post last week I said Kenny stands in the middle of the league considering time to release. He is at 2.4 seconds. Burrow was 2.2 seconds. Trevor Lawrence is 2.1 seconds. The QB with the most time is Justin Fields with 2.7 seconds. Fields buys time by scrambling.
The point is you can't expect more then what he is getting. Ben averaged 2.21 seconds his last year. All these posts are leading to a false hope that Kenny can improve. Well at least for this year. They have the book on him. Rush straight up and put your hands up. He can't slide in the pocket and he can't see over the line in the MOF. He turns his back and rolls left.
That was a pitiful performance by Kenny yesterday. What's he going to do against the Bengals 85 yards passing. There is nothing that is going to save him this year. If we let him play out the year he will be sitting in the corner mumbling to himself.
We should either bench him or promote someone else to play calling. Let him take risks. Throw some interceptions. Let him see if he can do anything. Sacrifice this season for Kenny's development.
Burrow done for the year
Fields missed the last 4 games
Kenny missed the second half of 2 games with bruised ribs and a knee injury.
Still wonder if its the book on Kenny or the book on Canada and Kenny. I think all teams have books on players but the play calling helps them stay a step ahead of the defense.
I hate to use Kenny?s ribs as an excuse but the drop off has been swift since the Jags game.Steelers 27

The Browns have a great pass rush, and our OL did not do very well in that regard yesterday so i put most of the blame on Canada for not rolling him out more & the OL not protecting well. And why have Muth run a route when Kenny never looks his way might as well go max protect everytime.
But on Kenny i wish he had the Dan Marino last second slide when someone is coming right at him. Kenny seems to do the Peyton Manning fetal position move, which is ok for protecting the ball. But If there is only 1 guy coming free & you side step & the last second they pretty much always go flying by you.Comment

There have been 315 QBS since the 1970 mercer that have 500+ pass attempts in the NFL. Of those 315 only 1 has thrown a TD on less than 2% of his throws. His name is Kenny Pickett (1.9%).Comment

These rankings is out of 41 qualified QB's...and last I checked 32 QB1's out there and he is sub QB1 in many of the numbers.

Another thing is KP never throws between the hashes. That’s got to be coaching. Eliminate the ints. If it’s not coached they need to coach him to do it.
We’ve got major issues that aren’t going to be addressed this season. Tomlin will escape with his 9-8 record and we’ll have major issues next season.

I'm for keeping Kenny as starter.
The OL is still a weakness, our running game is inconsistent, the play calling is poor & our #1 WR is 50/50 catching most days.
Yes, Kenny has been poor. He is part of the problem. He will not improve by benching him.
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why Najee cannot find a lane to run through. I don't believe he is that bad.
The offense looks stifled from the start. Keeping Canada and his mad schemes didn't work. You have a conventional style QB. You have a power back as the feature back. & we run jet screens & short dump off passes.
We don't require a fancy offensive scheme. We require an OL that'll dominate at the point, a smash mouth style running game & let your conventional style QB throw a somewhat vanilla offense. There's been a lot of investment in the pieces. But the scheme was designed for someone else.
What's Whisenhunt up to these days? The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

I am thinking he is going to get 2 quarters against the Bumgals and if things are the same Tomlin may opt for MT for the 2nd half.Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!
I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.Comment
