Joel, he wants you to capture his post so I can see them. Don't fall for his lame tricks. Please don't capture his post. Respond if you must but don't play into his weird little games.
**** Back to the thread topic: Joel, what do you think of Stroud so far? He's accounting for himself rather well I think.Comment

Weekly update.Last edited by Joel Buchsbaum; 10-02-2023, 07:12 AM.Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.
Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.
*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***Comment

1 ) Howell Not a big passing day for Howell who only passed the ball 23 times. But he threw 3 td's
2 ) Ridder. He threw for 307 yards, but it took him 48 pass to get there and threw 3 interceptions. 2 td's.
3) Purdy. A bad day for him, which is a first. He struggled. Just 125 yard passing, 1 td 1 int. Many of the key offensive guys on the 49ers were injured. The 49 comitted 12 penalties. Limited passing attempts.
Overall
1. Purdy
2. Howell
3. Ridder
4. PickettLast edited by Joel Buchsbaum; 10-16-2023, 06:28 AM.Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Purdy is a product of the system and supporting cast, his PFF grade is actually lower than last year's - 73.0.
It's like playing QB at OSU, tons of talent and great system. If he messes up, no bigs, the team will pick him up. Zero pressure playing there.
He's lifting feathers on the moon, Pickett is playing in underwater in leg weights.Last edited by WindyCitySteel; 10-02-2023, 08:06 PM.Comment

Film review shows more than just a QB in a good system. Brock is smarter and more accurate, especially when throwing with anticipation. Pickett's 53.8 rating might be a tad generous.Comment

He's playing better than Pickett, which the grades reflect, but he's not Mahomes or Allen or even Tua. He's a guy won won the lottery.Comment

Ya know, I can't remember the last time I saw Pickett throw an anticipation pass (the kind that is thrown before the receiver ever makes his break.)Comment

I am only ranking guys that play. Corral was a 15 wonderlic score guy that has depression issues. ( I don't do interviews, nor was I aware of his score on draft day ) and Wills played weak competition in college and was #1 among Tomlin liked QB's. That is where I rank em'
Why do you ask? It Pickett's play and health that concern me.Last edited by Joel Buchsbaum; 10-03-2023, 05:08 AM.Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

I don't compare him to a Brady or Mahomes. Purdy has the look of a good starting QB learning the ropes with questions to be answered come playoff time.Comment
