Question for those guys who believe that a QB is more draft worthy if his team beats another team in college. Wouldn't the argument follow that Pickett is on the winning team for games against key opponents like division rivals, and that is the biggest criteria? FTR I don't agree, but if we are saying that Allar would have been a good prospect had he beaten Michigan, or McCarthy will be if he beats OSU, don't we have to value Pickett as a good QB because the Steelers are 6-3?

Let see how he finishes the year. Nix I believe will be out if our range for the draft, unless we give up a lot I think he is a top 8 pick. My college QB ratings will change as things evolve. As of now I see him as top 4.
Are you waiting another week because Allar and McCarthy both looked like hot garbage last week?

Makes no sense at all. You have to be a fool to use one game as a reason to draft a player. I will say Strouds game vs Georgia elevated him because he finally did what people begged him to do and used his feet to extend drives.. and he played a hell of a game vs the best D on a national stage. But he was always a top 2 QB. I think this was icing on the cake for Stroud.

I said it before and I will say it again, you don't watch the Big10 to see QB's play unless it's Ohio State with a dynamic QB. It's like watching the Pac12 and Big12 for defense. You will be disappointed most of the time.

My other issue with the Big10, PSU, Mich and Ohio State. They have 1.5 good matchups every season. Everything else is meh. So that 1 game gets vs their rival is traded like the SB.

No one should ever base their draft off of 1 freaking game.

Not at all, I'm nearly sold on McCathy. Like I said IF he beats OSU ... I am sold on him as a passer and physically. His big game moment is what remains.

Allar's stock is trending down. His team fired their OC.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

Not if you judge him play to play. There are poor QB's with winning records. See Tim Tebow. Who did Pickett beat in college anyway? No one in the top 10! His competition was poor.

We were 10-6 with Mike Tomczak one year. Everybody knew he sucked.

Kenny beat #2 ranked Miami in his first official start in the last game of the season. He threw for 1TD and ran for 2TDs.

and Tim Tebow is one of the most decorated college QB’s in the history of the game. Just goes to show that playing well in big games in college does not guarantee success in the NFL.

I still think its wild to base it on the outcome of the game. What of he throws for 400 yards and loses?

Yeah, I wanted to see how Allar played in big games because I don?t really enjoy watching Penn State?s offense enough to watch vs bad teams. He did not impress. Was also disappointed with McCarthys lack of attempts. Still have no idea what he is or what he can do.

Well that impressive then, isn't it? 400 yards. A QB playing well is not based on winning the game for NFL prospects but rather how he does in it. How they play in a big game matters.

Sam Howell absolutely sucked today against the Giants.

Sam Howell is turning the ball over a lot. Not a recipe for winning when your D is mid.

Del Rio fired the other day.

                              Joel/Shawn...

I want to ask you about one of the QB's not mentioned much coming into Next's year's draft. Where do you think Jayden Daniels falls in next year's draft? QB at LSU. He's a local kid from the Inland Empire in California.

why are you only asking them?

send them a private message, or maybe you can FaceTime again?

of course, you'll have to ask your elderly black friend when he's available again.
