I don't think Steelers fans want to see LJ do well on the field. He won financially.

Fans should simply recognize LJ for the rare talent that he has. Going a bit deeper the Ravens were not the same caliber of team without LJ. LJ is a problem for every team in the league because of his unique skill set. I wish he had left the division.

I think that football fans should be able to respect and recognize talent when it comes. Even if that talent resides with a hated rival.

      No man. That is wrong.
You cannot respect another players talent.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

It's not a matter of wanting him to do good or bad, it is simply discussing what happened. The thread is about Lamar and it is titled as such, if you don't want to discuss it don't open the thread, if you want to comment once a week then comment once a week. The fact is it's the off-season and this is one of the biggest unfolding stories in the NFL, people want to discuss it.

Everyone already knows you where wrong about Jackson, stop trying to shift your narrative, we are not children, we see what you are doing. You celebrating weeks early because he was reported to get the non-exclusive tag, now he signs the top contract and you are telling us it's just as you predicted and exactly what you wanted. Worse is you are telling us that your prediction of Lamar setting the Ravens back 5 years and flopping in the NFL is now not based on his first 5 years but is going to be result of the 5 years of his upcoming contract, which hasn't even occurred yet but you are alleging has already proven you right.

This is what happens when someone can't admit that they were wrong.

also add in that some folks want you to admit to things that simply arent true when it comes to Lamar.

People want you to agree that he is a bust, can’t win games and is too dumb to secure a contract.

If you don’t believe those things you love Lamar and hate the Steelers..

Or you have to build a system that can support plugging in the next great rookie QB and try to win SuperBowls on QB rookie deals.

                    And keep drafting QBs.

Obviously. Talent doesn't matter anyway. It's all coaching. (Did I do that right?)

I'm not necessarily opposed to this idea. But considering finding a legitimate, winning NFL QB is akin to winning the lottery it would be a tough sell to move on. There are a bunch of Tier2 QBs that a team can win with. QBs that can win for a team are a lot more rare and will always make the top dollar. So in that sense it might be better to build a team around a QB you can win with at a far lesser cost.

I think this works until teams start paying those guys like elite players.

Which tends to happen. I think because teams are generally afraid of looking for new QBs.

are they really paying them like elite players or just paying market value??

Next up Burrow. QB's have NFL owners by the balls.
