Andy Reid is a hall of fame coach for sure

I remember when he was a free agent. I wanted him baldly. Now he is on track to win at least three supers bowl. Just imagine if we had him how good our offense would be.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

    Great adjustment at halftime.
even put a littke money down on chiefs +320

im guessing he didn’t tell his team to keep running the sane plays and

      I think this is true.

The list of HCs that have won 2 SBs under a system with a cap and UFA is short.

Wonder how many times people on here would have called for his head in the first couple decades of his career?

This is the thing about coaching IMO. I think he was probably just as good a coach when he was in Philly. But, you don't really see it until he has either (1) the best value QB in the league (when he won his first QB) or (2) the best QB in the league (when he won his second). McNabb was a very good QB too. But ultimately, couldn't get over the hump. Mahomes is elite. I think that's a bigger difference in winning and losing in the NFL and you can see it with Reid.

That absolutely doesn't take anything away from him IMO. It's really, really hard to win a SB. And doing it twice as a HC in the UFA + cap era is something that very few guys have done. He deserves a gold jacket IMO (maybe did before if Cowher is the standard...but I don't think Cowher gets in without the special class and working at a company that pays the NFL's bills).

      Congrats to Reid.

I had him in the HOF before this Superbowl. I think when you can coach successfully in the Nfl for as long as he has then you are doing something special.

Yup, he was a HOF coach even before this season.

It's very hard to go on multiple deep playoff runs like he has with so many QBs, let alone win a couple of SBs.

Andy Reid is clearly in the top two coaches. He and Hoody.

Reid had a pretty competent QB when getting to KC.
the move to trade up and grab mahomes is probably one of the better moves made in the history of the nfl.

they targeted their guy and went out and got him.
                      10 teams passed on him.
thry saw something there that others didn’t.
                      give them credit

People are making it sound like he walked into a gold mine in KC. Like tomlin did.

                          It wasn’t like that

You know why they are trying to belittle him at every turn right? You know why. It's sad.

Reid built up that franchise from the scrap heap left over by Romeo Crennel, and while everyone was passing on Mahomes mostly because he wasn't a prototypical pocket passer, and because he played in the Air Raid offense Kingsbury was running in Texas, Reid saw something and traded up to get his guy. He deserves full credit for what he has been able to accomplish in his career.
