    Then, I fix the line....

My one swing on FA is at ILB.

(see sig for it all - lol)
What do you do with Witherspoon? Signed last season and has exact same contract this year as Wallace, injured most of the year, did not shine the 4 games he did play, saves $4M against the cap if you cut him.

Plus, how many Witherspoons can you have in one secondary? It isn't like you are drafting Mr Nepotism Porter, you are drafting a non-related Witherspoon.

      WR, TE
      OL,OL,
      DL, OL
and back o this idea IF ...

      1) Resign on D: Edmunds and Sutton, Pierre, and Spillane
Resing on O/ST: Snell, Watt, Boykin, Simms, Hassenauer
      2) FA signings: DL Payne, 1 ILB ( Edmunds, Long, that guy from SF, Pratt), OLB Winchovich, TE Moreau, cheap back up FA OT
      3) Release: WJ3, Jack, Witherspoon, Gunner, (save 26 M)
      4) Restructure: Fitz, Watt, Okorafor, DJ, J Daniles, Boswell ( that is about 40 MIllion)
      5) using sportac ( release and restructures, NO FA SIGNINGS) cap space available is 55 Millon

      Draft:
      17) Branch S
      32) Schmitz C ( was debating about OT)
      49) Benton NT/DL
      80) Campbell ILB
      120) Pickens DT
      236) Wyle TE
      243) any project ILB/S for ST

      offense

      QB: Pickett, Tribusky
      RB: Harris, Warren, Snell, McFarland
WR: DJ, Pickens, Austin, Simms, Anthony Miller, ?
TE/FB: Mouth, Moreau, Whyle, Heyward, Watt
      LT: Moore, FA OT
      LG: Schmitz,Dotson
      OC: Cole, Scmitz, Haus
      RG: JD
      RT: Chucks,

      Defense

DL: Payne-Benton/Adams-Heyward ( Leal, Loudermilk, Pickens)
      OLB: Watt, Highsmith, Winovich, Roche
ILB: FA ILB, Spillane, Robinson, Campbell
      CB: Wallace, Sutton, Pierre
S: Fitz, Branch, Edmunds (SS/ILB), Maulet

Team is still lacking OT depth, Outside back up WR, and maybe a 4th outside CB.

Overall I think the team improved especially on D, got more deeper, younger and talented in the front 7. Look at that Pressure and Depth. That 3 safety set will be explosive. Branch is a Fitz clone, he can play all over DB, imagine having two.
On O, the IOL became more flexible, deeper, and talented. OT will benefit from strong IOL. Pickett , Harris, WR core will benefit from The TE group, more 12 sets, weapons middle of field and RZ and blockers to spring the run game.
Safety is round one, especially is Edmunds is retained in free agency? And waiting until round seven to pick a tackle. Highly unlikely my friend. I do like some of the players you picked.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

        Boy...

If we took a safety in round one, this board is going to explode! Because it would be a sure sign that management is clueless to what the real issues are with our team.

It wouldn't be my first choice.

But if it was BPA, we do need a SS.

I'd much rather have a OT, OG, CB in the 1st but I could live with a SS if it looked like he was going to be an elite player (I'd say "like Troy", but I don't think anyone will ever be like Troy).

            I hear you..

But the priority is to fix that O-line which helps KP and NH. A safety is a priority behind that. A strong safety can be found either later in the draft or in free agency. You can't get a stud LT/CB necessarily in the later rounds of the draft or free agency.

lmao... he's definitely a cut... I take that $4 mil cap space and happily spend it on better depth on the edge (welcome back to Pa, Chase Winovich)
