The defense was ranked in the top 3.
cleveland 1st int, thry had to go more turn half the field.

Landry went untouched on. 3rd and 5 play. Would have been a TD from 80 yards out.

first INT was at the Pittsburgh 49. They didn’t have to go more than half the field. Sure.. they scored on a 40 yard pass and the D was bad.

second INT was at the Pittsburgh 45 but it was returned 30 yards to our 15.

3rd INT was on the Cleveland side..

4th.. well, it didn’t matter at that point.

the real context is after the fumbled snap we had drives of:

      7 plays INT
      3 plays Punt
      3 plays INT
      11 plays Punt (progress)
      3 plays INT
      13 plays TD
      5 plays FG

Just too many 3 play drives that ended with INT’s or punts. Offense did nothing and didn’t help at all in the first half. Not sure why you would try to compare this to Tampa being up and throwing INT’s in the second half that acted like punts.. and one of them resulted in a TD which made the game closer than it needed to be. INT’s are never good but deep INT’s are not as serious as ones that give a tram a short field.

and starting 3 of your drives at our 48 or better is a short field.
