    Ravens > Steelers

Through and through, their entire organization is just better than the Steelers. We can argue about Lamar Jackson until the cows come home (and many have) but overall, in most areas, they are better.

    - Front office - Look at their drafts compared to ours. They kick our @ss.

    - Coaching - I'm shocked we ever win games vs. Harbaugh. He tends to gamble a bit much, but he's solid. You don't hear of sloppy practices and grabbing @ss on his team. And his Ds are always tough even when suffering massive injuries.

    - OL - You don't hear excuses coming out of Balt. as to why their OL is so weak, that because it rarely is. Once Again, this year, they have managed to put together a solid OL once again. Pgh? We are still one of the very worst in the NFL. But we have plenty of excuses.

    - Running game - Sure, LJ adds to their rushing #s, but don't get it twisted: Balt. is still one of the best rushing teams with conventional rushing with running backs, no matter who it is back there. They are a joy to watch, with the OL blowing out huge holes and the RB finding them. Why can't Pgh do that? Inferior OL AND running backs, or at least the RBs they choose to hand the ball to. OH, and they have a scheme that actually works, don't forget that.

There was a day when our clashes with the Ravens were legendary, as the teams were built so similar. Now only one team is built on such a solid basis, the other is a fart in the wind. A Cool Shades fart: full of dancing to hip hop in the locker room, but short on discipline all the way around.

In the 9 years since the Ravens won the SB they have not made the playoffs 5 seasons and have a playoff record of 2-4. Last season they had a losing record and were 4th in the division.

Half their team was injured. Half. And now? Who is better now?

Since the Ravens last SB we have been about even.. we might even have the better regular season record and more playoff appearances.

            Steelers
            Reg season 93-58- 2
            Playoffs 2-6
            1 AFCCG appearance
            4 division titles

            Ravens
            89-65
            Playoffs 2-4
            3 Division titles

went back 10 years including 2022 record. Since the SB the Ravens have not been any better than us.

also on the last 10 years we are 7-3 vs the Rats.

They did beat us in the the playoffs in our house one year.

No question they are better than us this year.

              R. Smith was a perfect fit for them. he was the missing link on defense. hopefully he trys free agency and get offered a **** ton of $$$$ far away from the Ravens.

So we have one down year (so far) vs. the Rats and the OP suggests they are a better overall organization?

My cousin is a Ravens fan. He was born down there in Bmore. I don't fault him for his mistake even though he has family ties to the Burgh.

The Ravens are a quality organization that have been the Steelers best rival since they became the Ravens. The Steelers swept the Ravens last year. It could happen again this year.

I didnt agree with that. but this particular year. they are better than us. they have a complete defense for the 1st time in a long time. They have a better offense than us. no question.

Dont think this is a trend. just the way it is this particular year

and what if we beat them? twice?

I agree they have the better team on paper. Same QB for the last 5 years and an OC who plays to his strengths. Hopefully we do the same with Pickett and find the right OC for him.

but it still doesn’t mean we can’t sweep them this year because you have to throw out records when it comes to division games.

I live near Baltimore and work with a ton of Raven fans. I would love that.

I think a big part of this is that they've had very poor injury luck in the last 2 years.

And old-man Ben still had the heart of a lion.

They also had what was IMO, a very good draft this year. Hamilton, Linderbaum, Ojabo, and Jones could provide a pretty good portion of a 10+ year foundation.

Yea, people discount we don't have Ben to win these games anymore and save Shades' rep. It's a whole different ball game now.
