Interesting that Tomlin is publically saying he wants a mobile QB, while a fairly immobile QB is the next man up on the roster in Rudolph. What does that say to Rudolph? And worse yet, I don't see Rudolph as being able to make all the throws consistently. He's a one trick pony with the deep rainbow.
If the future is left up to Tomlin and Canada, I shudder at the thought of it...shiver and shudder.

It's also interesting that Tomlin publically emphasizes mobility, when the QB he's had for all of his career, and helped get him to 2 super bowls, was not mobile.

Ben had a fair bit of mobility in his prime.

I don't think mobility is just LJ or Mike Vick runs.

Ben's escability while keeping his eyes down field was elite mobility IMO.

I think that was the thought process going into this season and the excuse coming out of it. As much as I would like to see Canada go, I was pretty sure he'd stick around for that reason...and the fact that it is an epic fail when you fire a guy one season after hiring him. That's pretty much admitting you did just as bad of a job as the guy you're letting go. With the Klemm hiring already tarnishing Tomlin's track record, that might be a bit too much for one offseason.

Tomlin fans that said Canada sucks and must be fired:
Do I admit I have no clue or do I admit Tomlin has no clue…. ?
              Oh the dilemma.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

They should let Tomlin be HC, OC, DC, ST, GM, and owner. He's that awesome. He's never had a losing season! I mean, that plus his cool quips should entitle him to own the entire city of Pittsburgh.

There are absolutely posters on this forum (likely relatives of Tomlin, or Tomlin himself) that care more about him than the team

Yep. People interpreting the extremes once again. 'Mobile' can mean a lot of different things, including Joe Burrow mobile or Justin Herbert mobile. Not designed for runs but can if needed. I'd take those in a heartbeat. In the old days we'd call them scrambling QBs.

It could also mean a qb that is capable of moving. Like walking or rolling from place to place.

Finally someone who gets it. You're either all in or all out with the HC.

                            No .
                            It’s super uncool.
You obviously aren’t a steeler fan. You need to root for another team.

Nah, we care about winning playoff games and super bowls. Something Tomlin hasn't done in a decade.
