    Your funny.

McCarthy ( like Tomlin ) used up Rodgers best years. Then when Lefluer comes in ( first time coach ) he’s immediately suppose to insert Rodgers into the super bowl??

Your arguments are getting more ridiculous.

But I will admit that from what I saw in that packer game , Rodgers doesn’t have that fire anymore. He wants another ring but that fire in the gut is just isn’t there from what I saw.

And your attempted “ mind games” your trying to play in hopes of me changing my sig are kinda sad.

Captain , you think your smarter than everyone else . And it is funny to me but it seems to be annoying to others. Your not as clever with your words as you think.
Now can you go back and start talking about Tomlin and his accomplishments 12 years ago like you normally do? Those are great bedtime stories that seem to put us realist to sleep. Lol

I've long given up on getting you to change your signature. But as long as it exists it is fair game.

Just having fun with it as the whole Dolphins example kind of makes MY a point that firing coaches are no guarantee of success.

How "clever I am with my own words" is debatable.

But I have no doubt I annoy people as I beat them them down with THEIR OWN WORDS.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

But hanging on to a coach that can’t win anymore also isn’t the answer. Shula couldn’t win anymore but they stayed with him too long while qualified guys got hired by other teams.
Steelers have the exact same problem.

          yeah, what a stupid example.

he should have at least used a NFL team that got rid of their head coach and actually won a Super Bowl afterwards.

but Steel Maniac is too dense to understand that.

Shula was a year removed from winning the division when he got fired.

His last season he was a wildcard team.

He was replaced by recent SB champion Jimmy Johnson who never went deep into the playoffs either.

ELEVEN COACHES in total followed Shula.

The last time the Fins got to a conference championship game was 3 decades ago in 1992 under Shula.

Point? Firing Shula did nothing to make the Dolphins better.

FWIW the "Fish Rots From The Head Down" cliche applies to the 2021-2022 Steelers. Decades ago a good friend told me to "wish
Dan Rooney a long, good life. " It happened. Dan wasn't perfect but he knew how to put a quality product on the field every year.
The 2021 Steeler offense was.... Is "pathetic" the right word? So was 2020's. Why was 2020 O.C. Fichtner gone [he was quoted as
saying he "never diagrammed an offensive play in my life" ] but Canada even with Naji Harris returns?? There's NO STANDARD -
pace' Cliche Monger Mike Tomlin's press conference bull****. Ben took a $14-million/per season pay cut to play another season.
Did Canada's Offense defer to Ben's clear limitations? If so, why? If not, why was Ben offered a 2021 contract at any price??

Art "The Chief" Rooney was at best a go-along-to-get-along owner who hired a head coach who CUT JOHNNY UNITAS lol.
That was part of my Steeler childhood. Grandson Art II has a Rooney Rule Head Coach who was recently blown away by a KC
team that could have scored another two or three times. Art II has a "nice guy" PR and appears competent. So what?
It's 2022 NOT 1969 when Chuck Noll went 1-13 and got Bradshaw in the Draft. The Steelers have ZERO shot at a Franchise QB.
They CAN draft for O.L. and defensive tackle needs. get Naji Harris a serious RB substitute and contend like the Cowher Steelers.
If this sounds pessimistic, please believe that my family and friends think I'm a hopeless optimist But the Steelers belong to
Art Rooney II, not me.. I'm just one more kibbutz-er )

First off Don Shula actually built Super Bowls teams in his hay day . He didn’t use the nucleus of someone else’s super bowl winning team and ride their coat tails like Tomlin and Berry Switzer. Much respect to young Don Shula.

Now , old Don Shula had Marino and no running game and no realistic chance to win a chip. If Marino wasn’t the phenom that he was ( and he was) Shula wouldn’t even have had those opportunities .

But I digress, Tomlin is really the point of this conversation.

Cap, let me say it for you real slow so you can get it…

No… matter.. how.. you… spin.. it, ….. we..will… never.. win … a.. super.. bowl… again.. as.. long.. as.. Tomlin.. is… the… head.. coach.

Spin it, twist it, roll it around in your mouth ; whatever. The fact is we are not winning anything ever again with Tomlin as head coach. He’s a fraud.

The Steelers went 6-10 in 2003 with Maddox as the starter. They then drafted Roethlisberger with the 11th pick in 2004. If Rudolph sucks as bad as some people believe then a 6-10 record is not out of the question for next season (assuming he's named the starter). History just might repeat itself.

Also , how dare you compare our hiring prowess to the dolphins.

Just because the dolphins didn’t know how to select a viable head coach after Shula doesn’t mean we wouldn’t find a good coach after Tomlin. You are living in your fears.

We are not the dolphins; our front office and ownership is and has been better.

So now I see; you live in your fears. I don’t.

so GB getting rid of their fraud head coach McCarthy and then winning a Super Bowl with LaFleur was a time based prediction then?

you are the one who put Miami in the same category as the Steelers.

Their method has failed. Our method has resulted in 4 SB trips and 2 SB rings since Chuck Noll retired.

Yet you want us to look at Miami to learn how to do what exactly?
