Just saw a post that said Flores told Tua he wished he drafted Mac Jones. Weird because they weren’t even in the same draft.

I think Flores wasn’t sold on Tua being his guy but some of these rumors sound ridiculous.

But it could definitely be similar to Washington/NYG type scenario where the owner/GM forces a QB on the head coach and they can’t get on the same page.

I like the idea of Tua but his injury history was my biggest concern.

In the right system, Tua will flourish if all he has to do is sling it. I could see him working well with BA once Brady retires.

      it’s called projection.

      look up the word sometime.

lawrence was going 1 overall no matter what.

we are talking about why tua was picked over Herbert. selected with pick right after him.

im giving you a reason why tua was selected over him. Why sone teams/scouts thought tua would be the better Qb

some teams value prototypical size , for example,
        Others might value mobility.

sone teams might look at the year jackson just had and project a QB with mobility as the “next one”

Tua is still crap when pressured, and can't hit Hill in stride deep at all, but they have given him the one of the best playmakers out there to go with another young one they had from the draft, a top oline, and a scheme set up to succeed within his strengths.

Coaching matters, and this is just one grand example.

Terrible Pod talking about how well they scheme open receivers, and they probably have the talent and speed to tell them to just line up and beat your man.

They're playing chess, the Steelers are rolling a tire rim down a dirt road with a stick.

                    Waddle is also good.

I think Tua is the best data point for the WRs making the QB.

And you can do that while the QB is still cheap.

Derek Carr would be the counter-argument

Still, the more weapons the better. DJ wouldn't like it but he needs to be in the slot next year with Pickens and some other 1A on the other end.

I think DJ would be great in the slot (if we threw slants).

Derek Carr has yet another failed Belichik assistant as HC.

Waddle is very good, and that's why I mentioned "another young one they had from the draft".

Those two cannot both be defended right now.
