He didn't, but the first names on his lists of coaches who never had all non-losing seasons were Belichick, Lombardi and Noll. Belichick won 6 NFL titles, Lombardi 5 and Noll 4.

Sort of like we've done on this board about half of the past 14 years?

Besides, the fun of winning a Super Bowl more than makes up for the drudgery of a down season or two, IMO.

If Green works out as a guard.. I'm okay with the pick. Too soon to give up on him altogether.

Myers went in the second round, the pick before Humphrey (62 to the Packers). At the time I was wondering if that threw the Steelers off. Maybe the were hoping that one of Myers or Creed would drop to the third. The only thing that we know for sure is despite the fan interest, the Steelers had no interest in Meinerz.

I guess a servicable guard in the 3rd round wouldn't be the worst thing. He's no center.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Meinerz has showed well since he got to play for the Donks late this season

I'm not sure that the experiment at center is over. They knowingly took a guard to play center. They must have known that he would have a tough time in '21. With a season of experience, and an off-season to improve, I believe that they bring him back as the "man to beat". My problem was not that they brought a guy needing work, my problem is that they waited so long to address the position (wait until Pouncey retires and everyone else falls apart) and then decide it is experiment time.

INACCURATE... Myers was gone (Packers, 2nd round).

Meinerz is the guy i sarcastically called D3 (i think it's D2) but, whatever whitewater rafting college - not the guy they were going select to protect Ben - not tested enough.

Let me clarify - this team has NOT taken a o-lineman from a non-power 6 conference on day 1 or 2 of the draft during this millennium. Meinerz was likely not on their board until the 4th round or later.

Only the ones throwing in the towel before the Steelers actually played the game and eliminated. Which is also normal for them.

Billicheat is a cheat.. and the other coaches are from a different era.

I don’t see any other coaches winning 4 SB’s or even 3 SB’s in the modern era.

                          as they reported

the steelers weren't even looking at players who didn't play in 2020

Ya know, that might not be too far from the truth.

                              that would be something.

going to clevland for just 1 year and being the QB with the most wins in that stadium

we could troll cleveland for a long time

Too small. His college tape as a guard had him on the ground a lot, too. After watching him make that tackle in KC, wondering if he can plug the A-gap.

                                Kidding, kind of.
