      Hoodie (6 SBs). No way.
      Jimmy Johnson. No.
      Bill Walsh. No.
Chuck Noll. Not on your life.
      Big Tuna. No way.
      Tom Landry. Not.
      Marv Levy. No.
      Bill Cowher. Not.
      Andy Reid. Nope.
      Joe Gibbs? Not.
      Vince Lombardi. No.
      Don Shula. Nope.

Why is it acceptable for Tomlin to mug the camera with blowing a kiss to it after a win while no other great coach in NFL history would be caught doing such? Is it not a reflection on the entire team?
This is one of the most ridiculous threads I've ever seen on this forum. Your position and irritation with Tomlin's kiss is laughable. Not only is there nothing wrong with it, you have no idea what any of those other coaches would or wouldn't do. I think the guy has got some serious flaws as a coach, but you Tomlin haters are a bunch of friggin' kooks.

not sure why this would bother any Steelers fan after the game was over and we got a much needed win.

Yes they are. To turn everything into a negative, or try to, indicates some serious mental issues.

There was never a bigger "attention whore" than Bill Cowher with his antics on the sideline but nary a complaint because he was a local boy. The screaming and slobbering were ridiculous. Imagine if Tomlin did the same what would be said.

I have no problem with Tomlin's kiss to the camera, but I disagree with you about Cowher ... I never once got the impression that he was doing what he did on the sideline to get attention from the public (BTW, I'm not one of those who thinks Cowher was a better coach than Tomlin).

The Cowher face is like the Gruden Chucky face… once it became popular with the media you kinda knew these guys were playing it up a bit.

I have no problem with a head coach showing emotion, fist bumping or chest thumping. Its football not church communion.

it reminds me of the mother who wrote a letter to a newspaper complaining about Cam Newton dancing after a TD.

It bothered her so much she told her son to look at the cheerleaders instead of Cam dancing.. wtf.

Anyway, this place has always had issues with certain people celebrating. When I used to ask them about guys like Keisel celebrating after a nice play.. well, that was different.

The reality is some fans simply dislike seeing certain people celebrate or enjoy their lives. I get some people are older and hate ANY celebrations but most people who focus on Tomlin or a few players have something else going on.

How the hell does a 2 second celebration that DOESN’T impact the game bother people this much? Its something deeper than football. I think some folks need to look away or find something else to do if they don’t enjoy watching the Steelers play.

Why trip over something you can’t control when you have an actual controller in your hand and you can watch reruns of Andy Griffen instead of yelling at Tomlin for celebrating a W?

It's actually so tiresome, it's like the boy who cried wolf at this point.
You're missing the point. Your head coach should have some maturity, some decorum, some class, even in high school or Jr. high. Mugging for the camera and blowing it a kiss right after a win does not showcase any of the above. No other known top coaches would dare do it.

We get your point we just don’t agree.

Not sure how old you are but I grew up
watching NFL Films and these old
coaches had some hilarious moments while mic’d up.

No, I know exactly what the old coaches did on camera after games. That's the point: They are on camera. Tomlin chose a low class, sloppy kiss to the camera, something no other top coach would even think of doing.

I think the 12 men picture was for effect. For the people at home and in the NFL offices. And that's fine. It's supposed to be entertainment.

Kind of like when baseball managers go out to complain about a call and throw a base or two with the intent of getting thrown out of the game.

There is no way you have reviewed north of 3,000 regular season games to see what all these coaches did immediately after a win.

                                how old are you?

Come on dude, no need to lie to us.

You weren’t watching Lombardi and Andy Reid every week. Hell, I lived in Philly for 5 years and I didn’t see half their games for obvious reasons.

The only reason you are focused on this is because it just happened.

I bet you weren’t even alive for half these
games and you certainly weren’t focused on the coaches after the game.

The only reason you focus on Tomlin is because he rubs you the wrong way.

Now its a sloppy kiss too? Are you watching it in slow motion over and over again whole listening to Frank Sinatra?

but I do appreciate that you have Tomlin in the same company as these other great coaches.. lol.
