Bruce wasn’t the best OC but he was a vertical guy and got a lot out of our WR’s.

I always felt like the criticism for BA was a bit over the top.

He had his flaws but people hated his bubble screens and empty sets while applauding other teams that did the same damn thing on offense.

Can’t knock a HC for having flexibility. Isn’t Leftwich the OC in Tampa too? My goodness.. smh.

Going to a SB in your first year in Tampa is impressive. I expected a deep run and maybe a trip next year, not the first year. 3 road wins too in the playoffs.

        3. Haley
        4. Fichtner

Considering the context...you know the answer.

Our offense under Arians was a Joke.

Sure we won a SB...carried by a defense that allowed like 13 points a game.
i would guess that scoring has gone up league-wide. rules keep changing to make it easier on offense...

If he does that 3 times vs KC they will lose by 21.

when you have a great D you don’t need to score 40 points.

A win is a win. I don’t give a damn about how many points we score over the course of a year, just as long as we score more than the other team in the playoffs.

            Stop hating.

This is probably true for all the OC's we've had with Ben.

There always has to be a fall guy.

That conference just got a whole lot easier to get there with Brees' retirement.

                  I doubt that...

Saints are 8-0 without Brees the last 2 years.

Brees not being able to throw downfield really changed how teams defended them down the stretch. His back shoulder pass was the best in football tho.

yes. There was one guy who HATED BA with a passion. I bet he is livid right now because he kept saying BA needed to move on and swore he would never get a HC job or succeed in the NFL without Ben.

To be fair, all it took was getting Brady

No.. making a SB isn’t the definition of success in the NFL.

9-3 as the interim coach for the Colts. A record for wins for an interim coach. He won COTY.

Led Arizona to 11-5 and 13-3 records in 2 of 4 years. I think they even made the NFCCG one year.

and sure, a SB appearance in Tampa with Brady.

Good stuff. Didn't he win coach of the year too?
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

                            And Tomlin ‘retired’ him.
Gotta wonder what the real reason was.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Rumor is that Arians lobbied the NFL during last year's scheduling to get a late season bye. And if you remember before their bye Tampa's offense wasn't good. BA calling out Brady, TB miffed. Two losses in row. Enter the bye, they work out their differences, get people healthy (I think Evans was out for a while before) and got rolling once again. The Steelers on the other hand never really recovered from their shifting schedule due to the covid. Not saying this was the cause of the late season slide (cause they had the same problem 2 previous years) but it was a factor.
