    But it wasn't Arians.
This is true. But Haley had two strikes against him. First he couldn't figure out how to get along with his HOF QB. Second, he was saddled with lesser defenses in the Tomlin era. On the other hand, BA had some of the best defenses.

Defensive pts against over league avg margin (a more negative number is a better defense):

Based on Fitchner's results, I think we should have put more emphasis on success and less on QB feeling happy.

I think Ben doesn't like being pushed, but maybe it's just that Haley was an ass (which seems to be the case).

Hoping Canada can crack that nut because I think Ben will come back next season.

That's the frustration for some of us. Roethlisberger's not going to change who he is at this point. But the 2020 version of Roethlisberger wasn't going to get the Steelers to a SB. Canada could end up frustrated with who he has at QB and the limitations he has to deal with. It's not the kind of offense he's been designing in the college ranks. I hope the Steelers give Canada a mulligan in Roethlisberger's last season.

BA said in regards to Ben's preparation that Ben, " didn't want that stuff".

I believe Ben's preparation is what kept him from playing at a higher level. Ben was fortunate to win early in his career and in some ways this held his game back.

He is like Favre.. backyard football is fun when your D bails you out but lately, backyard football has been a disaster.

One problem that developed this past season is that Ben couldn't make teams pay consistently with the down field passing game. Maybe that will change if he can heal and he and the Steelers can reach a contract agreement?

we definitely got rid of the wrong guy. someone who has been a coach since 1975 and probably forgotten more football vs. someone impressing with his vocabulary in an interview hahahaha

                  Probably felt threatened.
You can now add arians to the list of coaches better than Tomlin.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Why would he feel threatened by the coach of the weakest link on the team?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Congrats Bruce. Tomlin was so wrong to let you go. Stick around another 1-2 years if health allows, the Hall of fame may come knocking.

                          Head coaching record

                          NFL: 77–47–1 (.620)

                          Postseason: 5–2 (.714)

                          NFL overall: 82–49–1 (.625)
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

8 former Steelers players and coaches on that KC staff.. and AB scored a TD.

There are a few BA fans today that HATED him when he was the OC... lol.

You guys were watching a different game then. That wasn't the BA offense the Steelers had. How many 7 step drops did Brady have in that game? Yea, I thought so.

Roethlisberger would never have made it to his last contract if BA was the OC.
