Those who weren't here would not believe how bad Dizz trashed all the coaches including Tomlin after that game.

Hawaiiansteel has had his moments of Tomlin rage too.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Games are generally won and loss on the field.

Tomlin gives some truthful information. Like when he basically said complete football teams can win in different ways and don't be themselves with mistakes.

Mike Tomlin’s name doesn’t often come up in national conversation. When it has, it’s usually attached with some vague question of “if he’s lost the locker room” after the drama of Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, and whatever you want to call the Myles Garrett situation, one of the few times Tomlin thrusted himself into the […]

i think it's funny that folks who say he was hired BECAUSE of the Rooney rule act like it isn't possible that he came in and sold himself in the same 15 minutes... The man certainly talks the talk (even if it seems old and repetitive now to us)

And that hindsight shows us that he was clearly the correct choice.

It's impossible to argue that he's not infinitely better than Russ Grimm who was the other likely option at the time.

He's also better than Whisenhunt*, but at least Ken had some success as a coach. It's too bad that the two of them didn't get a chance to play each other in a super-important game when they both had HoF QBs on the roster. A game like that might give us some kind of indication of who was better (if you don't like obvious comparisons of records as HCs).

                          * Whisenhunt took another job before we made our final decision. Maybe that means that he knew he wasn't going to get picked, but maybe he just took the bird in the hand with the Cardinals.

I don't know why we have to call or label anyone haters when they criticize. Cowher was criticized plenty during his 15 years. And now he's universally loved by Steelernation

Critique is part of the job. It's a "What have you done for me today" sport. When we're winning, great. When there's a tough loss, expect frustrated critique. It's that simple.

There are always people on both sides that blow things out of proportion.

Saw yesterday that Tomlin is among the leaders in NFL history for consecutive seasons without a losing season .
