I'd like to see him fired. I blame Tomlin for the team not being 6-0. I think he should have done a better job managing the Titans Covid situation week 4.

Coach T is a good coach but the proof is in the trophy case.
Stability is one key to the long term success of a franchise. I am satisfied that this team is consistently in the hunt for the playoffs. I realize that it's not easy to build consistent winners and ultimately win a SB. I will take consistent winning until the organization can build a SB winner. Several teams that draft higher than the Steelers on a consistent basis still can't build consistent winners. Some teams win one SB and eventually fade away. While the Steelers seem to be relevant almost year in and year out.

Success isn't only measured by SB wins. The Steelers only managed to win 6 out of 54 Superbowls.

A partial test will come over the next 3 away games against good teams....I don't think fans who are frustrated with him, are looking for MT to win a super bowl every year but, to not make bad game time decisions during a game over and over again or, all the other drama that was related to the team.....

Typing error I didn't catch. You get the point. 6 out of 54 SB really isn't many. I think it's crazy that only the Superbowl wins matter for some. I think consistently winning matters just as much as the Superbowl wins.

So you'd be good with, say, a .700+ record for the next 3 decades, without ever winning a Super Bowl?

Steeler brethren....all the money on the Steelers winning it all! Wooohoo.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

No choice if that's what's in the cards for the Steelers. It took the Steelers from 1979 to 2005 before they won another SB. In between those years they had many competitive teams. They also had their share of opportunities to compete for the SB. I enjoy many of those seasons even though they didn't end in a championship win.

Steeler's fans are probably spoiled more by consistent winners than SB wins. Yeah I am certain that fans are more spoiled by consistently winning after thinking about it. Consistently winning is just as important as the SB wins.

Let's hope this is the year 7 comes to Pittsburgh.

Well, I have to disagree. Looking back at the last 50 years, I wouldn't trade our 6 Super Bowl wins for 5 decades without a single losing season.

For the record, I also get enjoyment out of following the Steelers in years when they don't win the Super Bowl. But it's nothing like the enjoyment I get when they do.

Difficult to win games consistently without quality QB play.

I never said I would trade anything. I'd rather have consistently winning/competitive teams year in and year out until the team can build another SB winner.

As Steelers fans we get consistently winning to go with the Superbowl wins.

I want Superbowls too. Just think it is stupid to expect that if we don't win it it means fire the coach. The desire to disregard his championship and return to a SB because he inherited players from a team on the decline?

Nobody but Steeler fans ever thinks we are even supposed to be SB favorites based on talent every year.

I do think Tomlins biggest fail was a period of coddling high tier talent. I think he learned from it (as I predicted he would) and has created a culture where character matters more than ever.

Dude is a really good coach
