I think we'll be competitive with even an average offense. And if Ben gives us more than that, I think we could be great.

Although it's worth noting that it's unlikely we'll (I) lead the league in sacks a 4th time and (ii) get as many turnovers from the D. Like with LJ, I think it's hard to repeat (four peat with sacks IIRC) elite performances.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

If I was BAL HC, I would make the offense more about other players than about Jackson. Lot of risk when 40% of your offense depends on one guy.

I'm just telling it the way I see it; nothing new about that. Look at our red zone targets for example..Ebron, Claypool, Juju, Mcdonald and then Conner slamming it up in there? How the hell can we
not score a lot of TD's this coming season?? Our kicker may only kick extra points this year. LOL In recent history, have we ever looked this good in the red zone?

Well one way is the OL doesn't gel as in the past. While I like the Steelers possibilities for the OL, we really don't know how well that plan will work.

we also don't know how a 38 year old Ben coming off elbow surgery who hasn't played in a game for a very long time will do.

I'm going to wear the black & gold glasses and say the line plays up to expectations. If not, then we are screwed.

Maybe Jackson isn't capable of incorporating other players into the offense yet
I'm sure the coaches want him running less and pass more.
Until he does develop, you have to use him in any way that helps the team win.
                      That's just smart coaching.
                      Round hole, round peg.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Are you one of the guys that moaned about Tomlin 'running the wheels off' the RBs? I am sure Tomlin was doing what he felt gave the team the best chance to win.

I don't care about using up a player.
The problem is when you have other capable players and chose not to use them or aren't smart enough to.
Obviously Tomlin was wrong in his thinking when it came to playoffs tho.

Lamar Jackson revealed as Madden NFL 21 cover athlete

The face of the NFL's future is now also the face of Madden.

Ravens quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson was revealed as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 21 on Tuesday.

"With style and swag uniquely his own, reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson dazzles on the new Madden NFL 21 cover as he does against the opposition on gameday," EA Sports wrote on its Madden website. "Dynamic agility and blazing speed make the Baltimore Ravens superstar QB untouchable in the open field. The face of a fearless new generation of rising NFL stars, Jackson has changed the game."

EA Sports posted a 1:30 sizzle reel that opened with an aerial shot of Las Vegas' new Allegiant Stadium and highlighted the new features coming to Madden 21, including an all-new skill stick to allow for better control of players on both sides of the ball, and improved gameplay mechanics to allow for more precise open-field tackling. Players will need it when facing Jackson, perhaps the only player whose real-life effectiveness is as unbelievable as his virtual counterpart's.

"If I had to describe how I play?" Jackson said in the video announcing him as the game's cover athlete. ... "You gotta see it to believe it."

With a new generation of consoles slated for this holiday season, EA has yet to release footage of its next-generation gameplay. Based on his play in his first two seasons, Jackson can be expected to be a weapon in the next generation of Madden for years to come.
