I am sorting to think drafting at #49 an OT will be BPA and of one of the biggest need in/after 2021, but not the way we should go. ( probably go skill position)

But in round 3 and 4 is a gravy spot ...

I want us to draft at least one C/G, one T in this draft.
The problem is that road graders tend to be poor pass protectors.

To preserve Ben's career, we went from a road grading line to a pass protecting line.

I think it's hard for OL to be great at both.

With his background, education and reputation I could see him going into the finance industry or management. He will be successful without football. In the off season he has gotten his MBA from Carnegie Mellon
If AV and Pouncey are truly "team guys" they should know when it's time to move on for the betterment of the team.

More difficult, but doable. NE could do both (up until last season). Dener's SB-winning teams could do both, as could 9ers and Dallas. I think Ravens OL will do both pretty well.

Other successful teams do it; We need to do it. We can't use the excuse that it's too hard to do.

I totally agree. Mike Munchak ain't here anymore, we'll see if Sarrett can get it done.

Easy to say and sounds good. But rarely happens. Outside of career-ending injuries, many players don't know when to call it quits. And don't want to quit. Especially the greats. They often need to be forced out.

No player is a team guy if it deals with their pay check.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

NFL players are no different than regular guys.
True story: my company had a consultant come in on a project. He was an ex-professor that was approaching 80 yrs old. Sitting around the conference table I glanced in his direction. Guy was sound asleep, mouth gaping, with drool dripping.
Reminder to self; time to retire if you drool at work.

Some do but their exceptions and not the rule.

Brady also has a wife with a net worth of $250 million...more than double her husband. Brady never had the pressure or motivation to secure his family's financial future to the extent other player do. He sacrificed nothing taking less on his contracts.

very true, but you are bringing logic into this. I was simply refuting and once again proving wrong a certain poster who said "NO player is a team guy if it deals with their pay check."

at least that’s what we are to believe. I wouldn’t be surprised if they worked out some type of compensation off the books.

That was reported on a while ago. Multimillion dollar contract with Kraft for "professional services"
