Some threads neeeeeeed to be segregated.

Tomlin lovers can have their threads where they can high five all they want without reprisal...
Non-Tomlin lovers can have their threads where they too can high five all they want without reprisal....

The problem is even after proving someone lied, that person then changes the narrative.
That's why doing all the legwork is waste of time.

Yeah, but what that person thinks is proven fact isn't a proven fact to the other person. See? It never ends. People are going to believe what they want no matter what side they are on regardless. That's why I"m not into debating that anymore. I'm into cutting out the name calling and verbal attacks.

You see, I know who are the name callers. And I know segregation will cut down a lot of name calling but it will also put the spotlight on the ones who can't stop name calling. Thus, getting them banned. I think mostly everyone wants to have their opinions and thoughts heard; but no one wants to be attacked and called names because of their opinions.

*****I'm going to segregate my personal threads to neutral or non-tomlin lovers. I"m going to clear it with Steelz09 too in that, if you come into a non-tomlin lovers thread and attack a non-Tomlin lover by name calling, you should be banned. If you are a Tomlin lover and come into a designated non-Tomlin lover thread attacking posters, you are automatically in the wrong for coming into the thread.


Personally, If I see a designated Tomlin lover thread, I don't ever need to come into a Tomlin lover thread. And I'm suggesting that anyone who doesn't care for Tomlin stay away from those threads as well.

I will identify any threads that I start as neutral "N" or non-Tomlin lover thread "NTL". These will be put in front of the thread subject for all to see.

Northern_Blitz, I think you should follow suit with me. If you really want some peace, take the lead on your side and do what I'm doing.

I'm asking this of you; If you have a better idea, I'm more then willing to listen.

Although I think maybe the legwork matters because there are more than 2 people in the conversation on a message board?

Booting this “whatever” guy would be a good place to start if your goal is to clean this message board up. It was way more civil before he showed up here a little while ago.

You see? I could make the same claim about other posters I"d like to see booted.

I don't know who you are , but your relatively new by your number of post (although you could be someone old using a new name) but regardless, whatever has a right to say what he wishes as long as he's not calling people names. If your brokering things, both sides need to have an equal amount of leverage.

I don't think this makes sense for me to do.

I rarely start threads. And when I do they are about topics that aren't somehow the opposite of "Fire Tomlin" or whatever.

And most importantly, I think if any of us actually want to learn something talking to people we disagree with is the best way to do it. I think we have way too many echo chambers in life as it is.

But I do think we should all do our best to be more civil and honest when we do.

Well, those are fair game or neutral thread. It seems that the Tomlin threads are the one's that cause most of the venom.

The longer this thread gets, the more it cracks me up. Kudos if that was your intent on some level. Or even if it wasn’t, you can take solace in the fact that you brought levity to the topic at hand and at least made one moron (me) laugh.

The only logical conclusion I can see us collectively reaching is that each of us should stay in our mom’s basement and talk to ourselves and nobody else. It’s the only safe and logical solution on some level.

But even that won’t solve the problem because we’ll have to become schizophrenic and argue with ourselves to keep the discussion going.

if we all agree, there’s nothing to discuss. Maybe on some level, you’re arguing that we shouldn’t have a message board at all. And I guess that makes sense to some degree in a PC culture where it’s crucial that we don’t ever offend anyone ever. The only way to do that is to isolate ourselves.

Either way, we’re 3-4 on our way to 12-4 and winning #7 this year. And if you don’t agree with that, please go post it in a different thread, labeled - NFFEOE - Not For Flippy’s Eyes or Ears. I’m declaring this thread a safe space for people who think we’re SuperBowl bound.
