If, if, if, if, if...if my aunt had a package, she'd be my uncle. If, if, if.............What do you mean there is no way? They were right there if Landry catches that out they are in field goal range and if the refs didn't blow inexplicably blow that fumble dead or if they didn't miss the field goal at the end of the half. Your case that "there is no way" the Browns win that game is obviously wrong as they had many opportunity to win that game.Comment

Yeah..kinda looks that way right now. But I'm still not sold on Jackson long term. To me, he still can't read defenses well enough to pass consistently. He's doing what RG3 did his rookie year; cutting off half the field and only having to figure out the other side because he can't read the field in totality. I think because of the run/option that the Ravens are running , plus the defense they possess, they are hard to scheme for in a one week setting. But Jackson's current style of play isn't conducive long term.Comment

Let me reword it for you:
If the Steelers had the #1 defense and gone into the game against the Browns with a rookie QB, and scraped by with a 2 pt win, there would be incessant whining about underachieving.
But BAL did it right by sending the house on every play at the end. I reiterate, they did the same thing last season against CIN, lost, and sat at home. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't.Comment

jackson may not be effective 'long term' but he will be 'long enough' for the next year or two(when ben is done)steelers = 3 ring circus with tomlin being the head clownComment

Time will tell; because every running QB ultimately gets caught and hit by someone he didn't see. Ask Vick, ask RG3. You can't keep running like that and have a real career. A Qb's real job is to be able to pass. There is a position called "runningback" which is used to run the ball. I'm happy that the Ravens have Jackson. Because I think he's ultimately a bust.Comment

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than CowherComment

You're like the dude that always has to win the argument no matter how weak your position is. Ruthless never 'sided' with the Browns winning. I've noticed on your posts you seem to read words that simply aren't there. Maybe there are some meds for that.Comment

Nooo..not really. Because when you look at our team over the last 6 years, this team should have made at least one super bowl. But because of massive underachievement, they haven't delivered.
To me, we are on a journey; and the journey is to remove deadweight so this franchise can go forward. We will never, ever win another Super Bowl with Tomlin as our head coach. So they day he's removed is the day we can move forward to our next Super Bowl win.
Yesterday was a day when the blindfold was ripped off for everyone to see. Everyone meaning those on the fence about Tomlin; and for management to finally see what Tomlin has really done the last 6-7 years. We are on the verge of change. And we need change. Because nothing positive is going to happen for us until he's gone.Comment

Sometimes in life, you need to take a step back to ultimately take numerous steps forward. This is one of those situations. Most of the "we need to keep Tomlin because of 10 wins a year " crowd can't see that. And I get that most can't. That's why I'm adamant about his dismissal. I'm as big a fan of the Steelers as anybody but I see what we need and have seen it for over 4 years now. If I can help you see it , then that's a good thing.Comment

Oh, back to Ruth; He predicted a Browns win. So much so, I told him to meet back in this poster room right after the game so I can show him how wrong he was. He has yet to show up. He knows he predicted a Browns win. So much so, he's MIA.Comment
