They had plenty of time to try to run the ball because they had at least one if not two time outs and a minute and a half. They only needed one more first down to get into FG range. One guy near me in the bar was begging them to throw a screen pass because cuz the Ravens were sending everyone at the qb. Every pass was 10 yds or more. Ugh!,

My prediction was on the money. Not close... but on the money.
you wrote baltimore had the advantage everywhere but QB. implying zero chance for a win.

did you actually watch the end of the game? baltimore "won" with about 15 yards to spare

PS. that #1 defense gave up 400 yards

Of corse I watched the game. That was the only game to watch in my opinion. You keep talking about “ almost” situations when those “ almost” situations didn’t work out the way he said they would. I said they wouldn’t win and they didn’t. Because of the defense and the defense made the guy throw a pick.

If you take solace in “ almost” scenarios then I guess he should feel good.

So the Raiders should take solace in their almost scenario against us with the immaculate reception huh??

PS.... #1 defense did what it had to do when it had to do it. And that’s all that matters. Did you do the job or not? That’s how football works.

And last season against CIN they sent the house and got burned for a TD. ... they got to sit at home for the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row. So that strategy is now 50/50.

I’d much rather go down fighting then watch a team drive at will. The Steelers gave up lead after lead all season playing pussy d. You’d clearly make any excuse for this team at this point. Guess a winning record, out of the playoffs is good enough for you. It’s pathetic and the way this team gave up leads this year is a disgrace.

You always go down fighting. How did our defense look letting Derek Carr drive down the field at the end of the game?? Because in reality, that’s where our season ended.

When the Browns add that legit #1 Wr, and add more to their defense, we will officially be in there rear view mirror. And that could alll happen in this one off-season

I've stayed away from this forum for quite a while now, and plan to continue, mainly because it's stopped being a place to freely exchange ideas, having become instead almost entirely the personal playground and echo chamber of the same few 12-year old posters (who are clearly lying about their age when stated otherwise) who seem take an almost scary level of pleasure in the Steelers bad season, as if they think it somehow gives them some license to bang on their keyboards incessantly like demented monkeys, as if they had anything new to say, or that anyone cared what they said, over the past few months.

(Any doubts? Just look who's been posting almost 95-100% of the posts since the Browns lost today, or really for the last month or so. Obviously it's fine to have any opinion at all about the Steelers, and to express it on this forum. But when it becomes repetitive to the point of choking out other discussion, it's a problem, at least it sure seems that way).

I figured you guys posted that way because you were so unhappy, and that you'd soon find some new life interests to pick up instead, to stay mentally healthy, and ultimately move off the board. But no, I see that you actually like feeling like sh*t, so you stayed around! So I left, that's the other solution

There are still a few of the good guys around (I'm afraid I'd leave someone out if I named names, so I won't, but I think they know I respect them and their positive contributions ), but really they just get swamped by the "gleeful haters".

But I have come back, briefly to a lot of posters relief I'm sure, to say that this post's calling out of RuthlessBurgher, childish right out of the gate with his name spelt intentionally wrong in the title, is so pathetic and against the best ideals of what this forum could be that even among the hundreds of bile-filled posts it stands out.

First of all, I doubt he said "Browns will win", he is much more cautious with his words than most of the haters that post here. Second, even if he did say that, it is so infinitely less offensive and disgusting than most of the stuff the haters write here that it doesn't matter ... so what if he said "Browns will win", and it turned out they didn't? That needs a thread? (could really have called this thread "Hey Ruth ... Nya na na na Nya na!!", couldn't you?) How petty it is to try and call him out on something like that. Someone needs a life!

Post back when you do something remotely as positive as his contributions to the forum. For example - when is the last time you posted an injury report? Or heck, even took the time to copy/paste a link to an interesting article by a writer elsewhere for the benefit of the board? He does. All. The. Time.

And no, don't even get started - just to make it clear, typing "...With Cowher's players only!!!!" ... or "FRAUD!!!!" on your sticky gross keyboard in your mother's basement doesn't count, even if you do it a thousand times. Which I guess you have.

As you were, carry on, fine gentlemen!

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!

Well, sorry you feel that way. But Ruth did say the Browns would win. Wow.. saying people live in their mothers basement because they don’t agree with your Tomlin loving ways. And let’s be truthful; you only popped your head in here because what I and some of the others have been saying have been proven right about Tomlin which leads us to where we are at right now.... out the playoffs and embarrassed from a team that had a 7-2-1 record.

So, please retreat back under your dillusional rock and continue to pretend in that imaginary world that Tomlin is a good coach. But here in reality , we are at home , not in the playoffs, embarrassed and players are talking to God knows who on cell phones during games. Your really mad that you were proven wrong and you come in here lashing out with personal insults like a child. so who’s really acting like a child.. popping in and running away like a 6 year old child?? Your actions dictate an angry man who lashes out when he’s been proven wrong. I’m sad for you.

                                Bye bye now.
