    Post eagle game thoughts

Well some thoughts about where we are with the Eagle game in the books and having seen almost all of camp-

Qb's- The questions behind Ben are this does Rudolph n Dobbs play well enough to trust them n if so could they move Jones. If they don't play well Jones stays n Dobbs becomes odd man out. Next few weeks to see more of this battle.

Rb's - Bell Conner n everyone else. Today I would say Samuels n Ridley make it n Toussaint could be gone. FB Nix is in with no challenger.

Wr- AB JuJu Washington DHB will be there. After that there is questions. Hunter should be next but a rookie like Patterson who can contribute on special teams is pushing. Not likely to keep 6 wr's so this will be an interesting battle. No other wr has been consistent enough to this point. This race will likely go down to the last game.
Eli is on the pup for now.
TE- top 3 haven't changed. Christian Scotland Williamson gets a year exemption. Hodges is an interesting cat who is more receiver then TE even at 66 250. I would believe a strong candidate for the PS.
OLine- starters you all know. Okorafor Feiler n Rogers all had good games against the Eagles. Not likely to carry 9 so Rogers is outside looking in imho. Finney is obviously in. Okorafor played very well against Philly he was okay at camp but he didn't look like a rook and had one pancake block that for you old school guys like me was "out of frame". Impressive for someone with no experience. Feiler too had a solid game walling off and getting to the 2nd level and staying on his feet. Quality back up with position flexibility.

DL- who is the 6th? Big Dan got some playing time and had some decent plays. Frazier didn't get in till late so for now it's the same as last year. He is holding on but the race here is not over. Frazier would be a PS guy if it went that way.
ILB- Bostic n Williams start. Bostic has been okay. Red n Fort next with the rookie Thomas next but not for long. He has looked solid and he played outside as well against Philly and was solid on special teams. He has looked solid at camp and should make the 53.
OLB starters set then Chick Adams Adeniyi Huguenin. Chick is in while Adeniyi could be next man up. We likely carry 5 here.
Safety- Davis n Burnett top 2 today with Edmunds right there. Golden n Allen should both stick.
Corners- starting 3 Burns Haden Hilton with Sutton and Allen as well as Coty S. We could keep 6. Nice to have some depth for a change.
So we have some guys who will play for other teams this year after they get cut here. Depth for us is better then it has been. Good problem to have. Perhaps we move someone for a late rounder instead of giving up a late rounder for a position we are thin at.

    Patterson looked good.

JuJu is the truth. Not sure why people doubt he can be a legit #2. He prefers the slot tho, it’s good for the run game.

Conner can tote the rock. Never doubted that. Still worried about his blocking.

Jones, Dobbs and Rudolph all looked good. This will be interesting.

golden plays for the chiefs now so I doubt he makes our 53

as for the QB battle it's pretty much over, IMO

      Ben, Landry, and mason

Dobbs has about a zero percent chance to stick on the 53

        Malik Golden, not Robert...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Honestly i didn't see much of anything great or anything really bad except the Oline in the 1st quarter.
Phillips won't make the team as a DB.

i was impressed by chuks who was the draft pick I liked the least

he got time alot of snaps at both tackle spots and fared pretty damn well considering it was his 1st NFL experience and coming from a small school

I thought Toussaint looked better than I have ever seen him, his arrow is pointing up.

Toussaint is an NFL caliber player and will be on a roster in 18. Just a numbers game and he could be odd man out. I do not believe we carry 5 rb's. Battle will be between him n Ridley the 2 vets one 28 other 29. Special team ability will likely be what decides this.

was he bad all around or just on that TD?

Even the best DB’s get burned. Would like to see if he has a short memory and makes plays the next game.

One safety I left off the list that has played well enough to still be in the mix is Berhe the former San Diego St and former NY Giant who has had a nice camp. He is also capable of playing single high. He is in the mix for the 53. As I stated earlier we have guys who will play on other teams this year.

really? I wasn't impressed with Toussaint. I think they should move on from him.

Hey Eddie, you don't think Landry could be the odd man out?

If Mason looks good, Landry could be trade bit. There are way too few competent QB2's out there, could may be get a low to midrounder for him. Mason stays of course. Dobbs? I don't see trade value, might even be able to hide him on PS, but I would bet somebody snags him. Having said that, Landry is really the only trustworthy, experienced backup among them, but I believe in MR if it came to it.
