Missed the game just saw highlights or lowlights as the case may be I thought I heard they were working on tackling this year?

Haven’t seen enough of MR to belive in him yet.If Mason looks good, Landry could be trade bit. There are way too few competent QB2's out there, could may be get a low to midrounder for him. Mason stays of course. Dobbs? I don't see trade value, might even be able to hide him on PS, but I would bet somebody snags him. Having said that, Landry is really the only trustworthy, experienced backup among them, but I believe in MR if it came to it.
Does anyone believe we can win a bunch of games if Ben goes down early this year?
I defended Jones for years but I don’t think there is a huge gap between Jones, Dobbs and MR.
Jones probably commands the huddle the best and has the most trust by vets but I don’t think he is heads and shoulders above Dobbs or MR.Steelers 27

Hmmm.. thanks for breaking it down the way you see it. I just don’t think that much of Landry.Comment

100% agree. No way they go into the season with two back ups with zero game experience. The guys wanting to push LJ off the roster need to readjust their brain housing group. He isn't a front line starter and wasn't drafted to be one, but he can win several games and he is very affordable for a veteran.
Also agree on Dobbs. He was a good value pick last year in Round 4 as the heir apparent to Landry, but they had no idea they could get a player like Rudolph this year and when they did Dobbs became expendable."My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"Comment

I get where your coming from and what your saying has good logic behind it. If I had to bet, I too would bet the logical route. I’m just not a big fan of Landry coupled with I think there is more to Dobbs then what we’ve seen and I’m Leary on letting talent get away that hasn’t been properly evaluated..especially at the position he plays.100% agree. But those 3 years of experience are important.
The experience changed Landry from a turnover machine to a guy you could reasonably put into a regular season game and expect to be competitive.
I think it's too much a risk to cut Landry now. Especially since he doesn't cost that much.
I know it's only 1 preseason game, but splitting 3 quarters of play Dobbs and Rudolph combined for ~ 200 yards 1 TD, 1 pick and 2 fumbles (didn't lose either). I wouldn't be super stoked about either of them winning the turnover battle against NFL starters. Jones has gotten to the point where I think he's decent at not giving the ball away.Last edited by Northern_Blitz; 08-13-2018, 10:23 AM.Comment
