Will be interesting seeing if either has an impact in the SB.
Bell inactive is pretty much where he was for the Steelers in the post season.

Like bell would admit he screwed up.
The guy lost millions and a chance to be one of the all time greats in Pittsburg and the nfl.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Nice to know I'm not the only one behind enemy lines over here.

He came back in December, and I knew he was staying until at least January, but thought he'd be staying home and classes would be held online. Both of my kids are in University here and both schools are entirely online. He is going back this weekend.
I think I remember you saying you knew someone going to school around here last semester.

I think most universities close by are mostly on campus with classes some mix of split online / in person. With start dates either just past or soon approaching.

Worked pretty well last semester. Hoping for similar results this semester.

The only class I'm teaching is a very big group, so I'm all online. I preferred my assignment last semester with more smaller groups that were split and rotating between online and in class.

I strongly prefer being able to look people in the eyes when I'm teaching.

Was thinking about that today... could either one have been a HOF'r if they stayed on? Right now, Bell won't sniff it unless they shorten the timeframe for greatness. Even AB might cause a big debate.

I think AB would have had a very good case if he didn't go crazy. He still might. Elite production for a pretty good stretch.

The rape allegations may hurt him too IMO. Although the murder stuff didn't hurt Lewis and I think Ben will get in despite the rape allegations.

I don't think Bell was elite for long enough and I think the decline was coming either way. But maybe I'm wrong. Holding out and being bad when he came back won't help him IMO.

I wonder what will happen to RBs for the Hall.

It's easier with WRs who's careers are getting better on the whole.

But RB careers are kind of getting worse for individuals. I know Gore has been around forever, but it's kind of hard to imagine a RB being very good for a long period anymore.

The game keeps getting faster and more violent and RBs seem to take the brunt of it.

In that light, maybe Bell has a case?

Bell is 76th right now ahead of Arian foster and just ahead of Ezekiel Elliot .
There are at least 25 guys ahead of him that I wouldn’t even consider hof worthy.

Agree on both. AB is an on-field HOFer. The question is will the off-field douchiness keep him out?

That's also a good question. I consider a HOF'r as greatness over extended period of time. AP might be the last great pure RB with the longevity for the HOF. But if they start looking at total scrimmage yards (which I expect) then a short career might not have a big influence on who gets in.

Le’Veon Bell hits back at critics on Twitter, makes big promise for 2021

                            May 28, 2021
                            by Steve DelVecchio

Le’Veon Bell was once considered the most dangerous all-around offensive player in the NFL, but he has not been the same since the final season he played with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2017. The veteran running back says that is going to change this season.

Bell, who rushed for less than 400 yards in time spent between the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs last year, took to Twitter on Thursday with a simple message.

Of course, that brief tweet served as a rallying cry for the trolls. One of Bell’s followers pointed out that he should have signed a contract with the Steelers rather than sitting out the entire 2018 season, to which Bell replied, “they should’ve paid me what I wanted when they had the chance.” Others mentioned how he was a bust with the Jets, and Bell wasn’t about to shoulder that blame, either.

Bell may have also expressed some frustration with the Chiefs. The free agent said he is taking his time choosing a new team because he was misled in the past about what his role would be.

That was obviously another shot at the Jets, but it would not be a surprise if Bell felt the same about the Chiefs. Bell barely got the ball in Kansas City even when starting running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire went down with an injury.

This isn’t the first time Bell has shot back at his critics on Twitter, but he needs to stop making excuses. Even if Adam Gase was at fault for a lot of what happened in New York, Bell has essentially become irrelevant. Only he can find a way to change that.

I am glad to see this thread back. I was starting to think it was lost to history. Is Bell signed this year or is he a FA?
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

If your a team lacking a running back I think you would be crazy not to kick the tires on Bell.
