Yep. When you were once the man but are now just a guy, it's gotta play on the psyche. Odd thing is he was 'the man' on two teams but still couldn't make it work. Bell had his opportunity for greatest but chose the business side. Your life is the result of the decisions you make.

maybe... or it could be his confusion with Adam Gase still having a job.

or maybe he got a bad review for his rap album.

We have no idea what that tweet meant and its wild to see them try to turn it into something scandalous. I know its their job but its hilarious to see how easy it is to flip a tweet for a story.

Not sure if this thread has covered this (200 posts is daunting to read through...) but given the Steelers RB situation, and that his team mates never were overly critical of him, Chadman would give Bell the chance to finish his career in Pittsburgh as part of a rotation.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

wouldn't it be ironic if Le'Veon came back to play for the Steelers for vet minimum?

Is he even worth vet minimum?
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

                      Glad to hear it.

We've been lucky here too (in Upstate NY). Missed the first big wave coming out of the city and held pretty well until the end of the year. More positive cases coming now, but still doesn't seem too bad.

Lots to be grateful for even in crappy times.

Was kind of surprised. I saw a friend's son today who goes to school in your neck of the woods. He came back in December, and I knew he was staying until at least January, but thought he'd be staying home and classes would be held online. Both of my kids are in University here and both schools are entirely online. He is going back this weekend.

Le’Veon Bell still doesn’t regret his hold out, was hoping to face the Steelers in the playoffs

The former Steelers superstar running back is preparing for a Super Bowl, and doesn’t regret a thing about how he ended up in Kansas City.

                            By Jeff.Hartman@BnGBlitz Feb 2, 2021

The Pittsburgh Steelers fan base is about to endure something they were hoping they wouldn’t have to endure. That would be watching a Super Bowl with two former superstar Steelers players squaring off.

As Antonio Brown, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Le’Veon Bell, with the Kansas City Chiefs, prepare for the Super Bowl with their respective teams, the lead up to the game has players in front of media, virtually, answering questions. As Bell hit the virtual podium he was asked about several aspects of his career, one being his decision to sit out the entire 2018 season before hitting free agency.

Bell stuck to his guns, and said he didn’t regret the decision. In fact, he almost doubled down on the decision and said it will help him in the back end of his career.

Bell cited the decision to sit out 2018 helped his body, but the statistics say something entirely different. After choosing the New York Jets as his next team, Bell put up the following numbers while a member of the Jets in 2019, and part of 2020:

                            2019: 15 games, 789 yards, 3 TD, 3.2 yards per carry / 66 receptions, 461 yards, 1 TD
                            2020: 11 games, 328 yards, 2 TD, 4.0 yards per carry / 16 receptions, 138, 0 TD

Bell, now 28 years old, might say the year off helped him in the long run, but you have to wonder if he will even get the opportunity to prove that to be true. Since leaving the Steelers he has been a shell of his former self, and looks more and more like a running back who fit perfectly into a scheme. Without that scheme, he merely looks like an average running back.

During his media availability, Bell admits he was keeping a close eye on the Steelers during their 11-0 start to the 2020 regular season, and was even hoping to face his former team again in the postseason.

At the end of this season Bell will be looking for a new team, but some wonder if he will even be active during the Super Bowl. Bell was inactive for the AFC Championship game when the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium due to a knee injury. Either way, Bell could be looking at a Super Bowl ring to add to his trophy case, even though he doesn’t look like the former All-Pro running back.

Steelers fans will cringe watching either Brown or Bell get a Super Bowl ring this Sunday with their new respective teams.

weird that both AB and Bell were inactive for the championship games.

Will be interesting seeing if either has an impact in the SB.

well, i'm clearly in for the chefs. LB's holdout never bothered me, AB was just an a$$. Don't want Brady to win another either.
