The FO is pretty good at letting guys go at reasonable times.
But they wanted to keep Bell.
I tend to think he won't equal his best years in PIT. But I think he'll still be above average in NY for a bit.
We'll see.Comment

Exactly. When we want to keep talent but can’t afford them or they want to play elsewhere they usually produce.Comment

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Dallas isn't going to win anything either. But Jerry thinks their close; that's why he gave Zeke the contract. Zeke is the straw that stirs that offense. Dak is a bum. And Marshall Faulk said so while training with Zek. If Dallas had a legit QB, Zeke wouldn't have gotten the deal. It's that simple.Comment

Boom.................like the crazy stuff he's saying about Zeke. Zeke is an abborational situation. 4 more stud running backs coming out in next years draft. No need to pay big money to one guy when 3 to 4 more come out every year at that position. If an established stud RB can't be happy with 12-13 mil a year, let him go. Let the 1990's thinking organizations over pay for a running back.

I told you Zeke was going to break the bank before ANY of these RB’s got paid.
You kept saying it wouldn’t happen. The RB market was “going down”
I was right. You were wrong.
Abborational? What the hell does that even mean bro. Of course Zeke is making big bank because he is on a short list of elite backs.
3 RB’s now make at least 13 mill per and wait til Barkley resigns. That’s a $100 mill contract in the making.
What crazy stuff did I say about Zeke? I said he would get PAID and he did. You just laid the blueprint for why he got paid so what’s so crazy about it? It’s common sense bro. Stop being mad at me for being right about my predictions on the RB market.Last edited by Oh wow; 09-06-2019, 04:50 PM.Comment

According to some posters, with the talent on that team, anything less than a SB win is a fail. Same with the HC, ...fail if no Bowl. Playoffs mean nothing.Comment

It makes fans feel good to see rivals pay players big money and not win a SB.
Winning a SB is hard. Just because you pay certain players a ton of money doesn’t mean you will win a SB. Just means you should have better odds of making the playoffs to have a chance to win a SB.
Now going 4-12 or 7-9. Failure. But if Dallas makes the playoffs and has a home game and a full stadium. They win.Comment

I think SB win or failure is one of the most delusional conclusions in sports.

(btw, I agree with you... it's a goal but too many things have to go right in a season for a team to get to the final game. NOR should have been in it last season save for one play.)Comment

Making important decisions based on the results of a single game elimination tournament seems foolish to me too.Comment
