If we're just talking 2004 and beyond, I think Willie Parker deserves the spot on the list over Bettis TBH. And give me some Dan Kreider over Rosie Nix.Comment

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Good point. I forgot about both him and Santonio now that I think of it. If I'm being consistent with my criteria for Bettis, it has to be one of those two over Plax. I'd take them both over Bryant. Wallace was better than Martavis and Santonio was probably the most complete WR of those three.
I'll go with Santonio. His stats don't pop as much but he was also there before Ben really started slinging it. Plus, ya know, the 73 yards on the TD drive in XLIII.Comment

But we've already got 2 very complete WRs here.
Bryant only really did one thing well, but he was so good at stretching the field.
Maybe I went too situational though.Comment

I think we should also consider as good as some of the players were on this list, many of them never helped us sniff a SuperBowl while they were in Pittsburgh.
And back to Randle El, if it wasn’t for the final play in XLIII, Randle El almost had more TD passes in our 2 SuperBowl wins than Ben. That pass to Holmes got them each 1 TD pass in our 2 victories.sigpicComment

I DO think Santonio is “better” than Bryant. If Brown was hurt and we had replace him, Santonio over the others.
But as teammates WITH Brown I’d take Bryant then Wallace over Holmes.sigpic
