Since Nix isn't going to get much PT, who would you put in as WR3 when we go 11 (while I love Jerome in this formation my 11 is Bell & Heath)?

I think maybe I put prime Bryant as the 3rd WR and move Hines to the slot?

Plax would probably be my pick.

If we're just talking 2004 and beyond, I think Willie Parker deserves the spot on the list over Bettis TBH. And give me some Dan Kreider over Rosie Nix.

I was torn between Holmes / Plax / Bryant / Juju.

          I'd take any of them.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

How about Mike Wallace, Ben and Mike used to light it up.

LeGeratte Blount used to light it up with Bell but I don't want him anywhere near my team

Good point. I forgot about both him and Santonio now that I think of it. If I'm being consistent with my criteria for Bettis, it has to be one of those two over Plax. I'd take them both over Bryant. Wallace was better than Martavis and Santonio was probably the most complete WR of those three.

I'll go with Santonio. His stats don't pop as much but he was also there before Ben really started slinging it. Plus, ya know, the 73 yards on the TD drive in XLIII.

I agree that Holmes is more complete.

But we've already got 2 very complete WRs here.

Bryant only really did one thing well, but he was so good at stretching the field.

Maybe I went too situational though.

We also shouldn’t forget it was Randle El who threw the only TD pass in XL.

I think we should also consider as good as some of the players were on this list, many of them never helped us sniff a SuperBowl while they were in Pittsburgh.

And back to Randle El, if it wasn’t for the final play in XLIII, Randle El almost had more TD passes in our 2 SuperBowl wins than Ben. That pass to Holmes got them each 1 TD pass in our 2 victories.

take holmes and use him as a punt returner too

Actually, I’m with you here. I go Brown and Bryant because they are different talents. I do favor Bryant over Wallace as a deep threat personally.

I DO think Santonio is “better” than Bryant. If Brown was hurt and we had replace him, Santonio over the others.

But as teammates WITH Brown I’d take Bryant then Wallace over Holmes.

I think you would have to pick the guy who caught the game-winning Super Bowl catch!
