BB holds his players accountable for their actions. if he benched butler and lost he still sent the message that everybody is accountable

I don't have any dogs in this fight. But, let me just say this...if Belichick actually benched Butler in the SB for disciplinarian reasons, and stuck to his guns even when the ish was hitting the fan. That right there is a coach. Many will disagree, but letting every player know that no one is safe, no game is safe sets a tone. It sets a tone now and in the future. Its ballsy and Belichick has the political capital to pull it off.

One could use anything B.B. does as part of the reason they are so successful.

I happen to think its because he is a coach who is willing to do anything to win. They know all the rules and will bend them any which way they can to get an advantage.

Anyone remember the AFCCG vs the Ravens when they were getting crushed? They came out in the second half and used 4 linemen and an ineligible WR in a way that had the Ravens totally confused and the NFL changed the rule the next year.

Probably the best coaching staff when it comes to half time adjustments and crazy formations.
