Still one of my favorite Steelers ever, and I forgive the Patriot's thing because it was consistent with his FU character. Best to you Silverback.
Yep..i've gotten over the Patriots thing. All is forgiven. He's an all time Steeler great in my book.

Harrison has 5 years to cool off; and we have five years to kiss and make up with him. When his induction into the HOF comes around, he'll go in as a Steeler.

Football players don't go into the Hall of Fame as a member of any particular team. And I doubt that James will garner the votes necessary for enshrinement anyway. Perhaps eventually as a Senior candidate.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

He isn't getting into the Hall of Fame. Outside of Pittsburgh he was always an unpopular player and became the league's poster boy for a dirty player

Are we quick now to forgive signing with the Patriots because they eventually lost the SB? I forgive as well, but I wonder if it would be much harder to do had he won that last game, regardless of his impact?

                unpopular with offensive players.

I don't think anyone on defense had a problem with his style of play.

it's like Hines Ward. Defenders around the league HATED Hines and labeled him as dirty.

I never understood why he was considered dirty. He just jacked dudes up and it used to be celebrated until the recent rule changes. Once those rules were changed he rarely had any infractions.

besides those who had a bone to pick with Tomlin and the FO I don't think anyone would really care. It's not like JH was a major contributor. He jumped on the train as it was pulling into the station. They were going to the SB with or without JH once the NYC stole HFA from us.

...and Hines isn't in the HoF and likely won't be until he gets a look from the Senior Committee. Hines also was a much more personable player

Forgive? Nothing to forgive. The Steelers cut him and he went to a team that would sign him and give him a chance to compete. If he had won I would have been happy for him that he got his ring even if it wasn't with the Steelers.

What does being personable have to do with being in the HOF? Jack Lambert is in the HOF and he wasn't exactly sunshine and roses.

i think if the player is on the bubble he may get the nod because he was a good guy
we have seen a few get shunned because they were douche bags
steelers = 3 ring circus with tomlin being the head clown

^ this x 10. Harrison was not going to be told by anyone or team when he was finished playing... he would be the one telling.

And, Harrison was probably part of the second most important play in Steeler history, still JH, will always be one of my favorites, wanting to keep playing isn't a bad thing. I don't think he'll get into the HOF, but I hope he does, he defined what Steeler football for many years.
