I'd say it's time. What a real shame it had to end that way with the Steelers.

That's like saying Franco Harris was a Seahawks problem. Harrison was the key to possibly the greatest play in Steelers Super Bowl history and DPOY as a Steeler.

His time with the Bengals and Pats will be footnotes in a great career. I agree it would have been nice to end on better terms.

Best wishes to him. I hope he decides to reconcile with the team.
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Harrison's going to the Patriots (and before that the Bungles) was consistent with the type of person he was--and what made him great. "Oh, done with me huh...I'll haunt you, MF'er". Practice Squad, cuts, guy never gave up, made himself great, did not walk through his days (burned through them). Still one of my favorite Steelers ever, and I forgive the Patriot's thing because it was consistent with his FU character. Best to you Silverback.

Agreed!! He's a unique breed of man, even among athletes. Going from undrafted to DPOY is an amazing accomplishment.

Agreed. But obviously, retirement was on his mind. It's a shame that the two sides couldn't figure out a better end than having him play the final 3 games of his career with the most hated team in the league. A team that he, himself, once hated. Playing with the cheaters will ultimately become a footnote. But it still leaves a very bitter taste right now and that is a shame.

it was business.. hopefully it wasn't personal on either end.

Did Faneca retire as a Steeler? I think he had a real bitter break up and still came back as an intern.
