you have as many (actually more) people on the other side who dislike him for something more than his coaching ability... easy to figure that out, too.

IMO, the guy is a "good" not "great" coach. Good enough to win SB with damn good coordinators, but, not necessarily good enough to coach those guys up.

Biggest problem this team has had is being handcuffed by the OC for the last few years. I never understood the firing of Arians - iirc, they went to SB 2 of Tomlin's first 4 years with Arians as OC, then fired him. He immediately made the colts a winner with young Andrew Luck, resulting in a HC job. This team is far more talented offensively than it was back then, but, doesn't seem to have the same firepower.

I think getting rid of someone who racks up 13 wins in as season and within a gnats eyelash of beating the Pats to get to 14 wins shouldn't get fired.

I do believe changes need to be made. And while some here believe it's not a big deal...I do think the team discipline thing does need to be addressed.

Tomlin has made mistakes, but remember Bellechik has his boneheaded plays too (remember the 4th and 2 chest thump against the Colts a few years back).

If you ask me what I think is needed...I think there has to be a change in philosophy and culture. You don't play to the level of your opponent you come out and gameplan to exploit a team's weakness.

Someone said they are sick of comparing the Steelers to the Patriot way. We aren't them and we will never be them.

I am ok with the statement at face value. But I have two questions (they are honest asks not a criticism in any way shape or form)

        1) What is the Steeler way?
        2) The Patriot way gets you to 7 consecutive AFC championship games. While I get we won't be them, don't you think we should incorporate some of what they do to be successful in the answer to 1 above and make what works for us part of the "Steeler Way"?

and if you answer yes to 2...what do you think we can take from them (ok smarta$$ery of cheating aside ) that we could match up with the Steeler way and be successful.

We actually score more...but our defense isn’t dominant...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

            it's different, tho.
MANY of those points come in no huddle when TH isn't calling the plays.
OTOH, that wasn't the case with BA... we'd get up, then run the air out of the game.

BA had a thing for the long-ball. TH has a thing for lots of short passes. I've never seen so many 5 yard passes on 3rd and 7 in my life... Granted, I realize that was what he was tasked with several years ago. But, it's gotta be better now.

IKR... people keep saying, "steelers have the best roster top to bottom" and stuff like that... the best QB can take the 20th best roster deep into the playoffs... (see: Montana goes to the Chiefs)

I love me some Big Ben, but, we have about the 5th best QB in the league...

I'm not sure people are really appreciating the fact that three of the teams playing next weekend will feature the QBs of Bortles, Foles, and Keenum.

If Sunday wasn't proof of his incompetence, then his supporters clearly have an agenda that isn't Super Bowl related

Wow. That is a shockingly ignorant statement.

Nobody is happy with the outcome of the game. Nobody is happy with the game plan or how that game was coached.

But, some of us aren't so emotional that we can't see the forest for the trees. Some of us don't think it is smart to burn down the forest because we lost a game...

Tomlin’s hot seat is not based on “one game” . This “one game” was just another straw on the camels back of a decade of him not getting it done and underachieving.

You insult people like they haven’t watched his post season, underachieving ways for over 5 years now. Your talking down to people like their dumb. That never plays out well for guys that do that.
