Politics are politics. You might disagree with anyone's "policy".
This is football and winning is the bottom line. It aint policy it is record period. You and I both know some people will not like Tomlin no matter how much he wins.
The more he wins the more we know "winning" is not the agenda of someone who still hates Tomlin being our coach.
Conversely, if a Natti fan doesn't like Marvin Lewis nobody will question their motive because there is a basis for questioning his actual ability as a head coach.
There is a poster on this very forum who is already on record as saying if Tomlin wins YET ANOTHER Super Bowl, he will not credit the coach.
I'm sorry but that convinces me that "winning" ain't the criteria for his coaching preferences.
The more Tomlin wins, the more those with another agenda are exposed.sigpic
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than CowherComment

There are multiple legitimate fronts to criticize Tomlin and just about any coach in the league. However, people still screaming "Cowher's players!" or thinking Tomlin needs to be fired after 11 successful seasons and the most current one finishing 13-3, there is something going on beyond legitimate criticism.Comment

My complaints about Tomlin are things like clock mgt, playing down to competition, in-game decisions, etc.
He's also been blessed with several hall of famers (including QB), which makes his job a little easier. But he has won (a lot), has a SB, and I have a hard time believing there are many (if any) coaches out there that could do better.
He, like everyone else, should be held accountable for losing, and should get credit for winning.Comment

I’ve said it elsewhere. The moment the Steelers fire tomlin is exactly one hour before another team makes him the highest paid coach in the league.2014 MNF EXEC CHAMPION!!!Comment

lazy... so lazy. Now, there are probably some times when folks play it when it isn’t needed but damn, when you look at his Rice’s and achievements it’s real hard to find a reason to want Tomlin fired.
I just listened to a replay of Terry Bradshaw’s follow up interview about Tomlin and it’s safe to say Terry isn’t all there. Dude had a hard time admitting he made a mistake. Even now he says he doesn’t think about Tomlin. He said he was a good coach but cmon, how do you not think about him at all? What’s that about? He also said he tried to call Tomlin a free years ago and Tomlin never returned the call but that sounds shady. It’s the easiest dig and one Steeler QB’s seem to use often.
”I called but he never returned my call”
well LP call him again dammit. Maybe he is real busy coaching/cheerleading?Steelers 27

You cannot argue with the job that Tomlin has done! The record speaks for itself! If this team manages to win it all this year he should receive strong consideration for COY! I know it's a long shot, but still - anyone who could successfully navigate a team, through all of this drama, with all of these personalities, not to mention your QB constantly throwing you under the bus, I would have lost it by now...
With that said - I still do not like the way the JH thing was handled! I put this in the "what were they thinking" category! I still think JH could have helped out on the field! Hypothetically speaking, if JH continues to make any semblance of contribution to NE and they end up in the super bowl, that is going to be a "bad look" for Tomlin...Comment

They vote for coach of the year before the Super Bowl (which I think is dumb), so I don't think Tomlin will get it.You cannot argue with the job that Tomlin has done! The record speaks for itself! How does getting rid of a locker room cancer look bad for Tomlin. I don't care if JH gets 20 sacks in a Super Bowl, he was the malcontent who acted like a petulant child who ruined his legacy in a city that loves their football heroes. Harrison made his choices in how he responded to a situation he may not had liked and all his choices were bad. That's totally on him."My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"Comment

IDK. having the most talented roster in the nfl, being virtually injury free and playing the easiest schedule ............You cannot argue with the job that Tomlin has done! In my eyes, Sean McVey wrapped up coach of the year award a while ago. Doug Marrone a distant second place. Mike Zimmer, Doug Pederson, and Sean Payton round out my top 5.Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment
