To paraphrase: "It's the name on the front of the jersey not the one on the back"

It is insightful to read the posts of so many of Harrison's fanboys who are actually hoping for the team to fail to somehow vindicate Harrison. Don't deny it and just go back and read the posts. A number of so-called fans are hoping that Harrison succeeds and the Steelers fail so they can vent their hatred of Tomlin.

Does anyone really think that there was a grand conspiracy against Harrison? If he could add value do you think the team wouldn't have used him? It's a simple case that other could do more things more consistently and since Harrison likely couldn't play on special teams that cost him a gameday helmet. I even have less respect for Harrison because of the classless act of signing with the Patriots who are likely just using him and Harrison is allowing himself to be used. Why else did 30 other teams say no thanks.

While some here are hoping that Harrison is successful to prove whatever, I'm hoping he is a total failure because for me the name on the front of the jersey is much more important than the one on the back. First and foremost a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers organization not one of the players passing through just as so many since 1933. Team first, team always.

How? Cutting a player who doesn't dress on game day? Seems pretty rational to me.

maybe you could grace us with the knowledge of mcCullers over Harrison. mcCullers has a total of 11 snaps this season

if Harrison makes 1 play to help NE win a playoff game it's a stupid move. why take that chance is what alot of fans are asking instead of blindly praising every single move they make

I could, it's a numbers game the team keep 6dl. So to satisfy some of you fans they should just cut the extra dl just for you fans who don't know anything about their practices, schemes etc. If sounds like JH was disgruntled by complaining and being on the injury report every week with an unidentified illness.

Better yet I would guarantee that if DM was cut, he probable wouldn't clear waivers like Mr. Harrison did.

                based on what exactly?

you are the only person i have heard say that including every steelers beat writer

I'm sure teams would be lining up to get a player with 11 total snaps for the year

Scouts look for size, period point blank and a 6ft 5 over 350 lb young dl will get picked up faster than a 5ft 8, 40yr old outside lb.

                    so then, nothing

you could have just said that. mCCullers us a fat lazy 6th round pick who adds zero to the roster

and has done exactly squat in 4 years. yes, teams are coveting this diamond in the rough, I'm sure

Look this is plain and simple JH complaints socially about not getting playing time probably was his doom and not practicing too boot. Gay tweets out immediately after he signed that leads me to think JH was dogging it about being ill every week. And if Tomlin thought JH was more valuable than anyone left in this roster he would be here. Simple end of story, if I was a coach I sure wouldn't be persuaded by any fan of in trying to take the best 53 for sentimental purposes.

BTW do you realize the Steelers are tops in sacks this year and could break the team sack record with 5 this week? It's hard to tell BTW some of you are acting.

you honestly believe Harrison faked an illness every week? that may be the most ridiculous thing I have ever read here

Harrison may get cut before the playoffs by NE, will have to see what happens. however I will never believe that dan mccullers offers more value at this point and the steelers beat writers who do see practice every day are saying the same thing

we gave the pats a player who could possibly help them win a playoff game. if the steelers don't think Harrison can help them, then bury him on the inactive list for the rest of the season and be done with it

Yes them same beat writer's was crying over Hines and Troy, how did that work out. They're saying the same thing because they are like most of you on here that can't let go the 2010 season for JH.

message board fan who starts fire everyone threads while the game is in the 3rd quarter knows more than people who are paid to cover the team and been around it for 30+ years like bouchett
