pouncey just blasted harrison so something was definitely brewing in the locker room

still have to wonder if they couldnt have just suspended him and kept him away from the team instead of letting him get to the pats

ugly situation either way i guess

I don't necessarily disagree with your point on it would be worse. But frankly if it were a dispute at that level why make the move now? And as a Head Coach you sit with both of them and tell them knock it the "F" off and work together.

Ben/Haley really aren't the best of buddies and their relationship is somewhat icy at times, but they seem to figure out for the most part how to make it work out. (for the most part). This to me speaks of making a decision that again had no upside.

Does anyone think McCuller wouldn't have gone through waivers? And even if he didn't, would it have mattered?

During playoffs you can't undervalue playoff/veteran experience.

All JH has to do is be right once on a pass rush against AV in the Red Zone on 4th down in the AFCCG and we lose. He doesn't have to shine all game long.

And that is why I say there was no upside in making this decision.

i agree brothervad, though i guess it comes down to how big a distraction harrison was willing to become

no upside is pretty much the long and short of it

According to Pouncey, Harrison asked to be released...

          It’s Blount all over again...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Maurkice Pouncey just went off on James Harrison. He said he forced his way out and ruined his Steelers legacy. Much more coming in a story

Bud Dupree on Harrison: "I don't want the media to portray we're the reason he left...that ain't the reason. He chose to leave. He made certain decisions and his actions got him to this circumstance."

This story should be interesting to read. If JH wanted out... I can live with it (from the Front Office point of view).
That sort of goes along with Tomlin and Porter's statements all year (JH being a factor down the stretch etc etc). Maybe they had intentions of increasing his reps come play off time? I guess we will never know.

Now with this information I will amend my earlier posts about JH having a right to go wherever he wants.

Feel free to burn his jerseys fans. It appears he was being a cancer.

However after the Blount experience I think the Steelers braintrust should've been more Machiavellian about it. I think they should have made him inactive the rest of the way and not give him a chance to ever see the field again.

Fine you can be on the inactive list and we will cut McCullers anyway.

                  F you Harrison

Now that would've been cutthroat as hell to JH.

                  if this is all true.

What I want now is for Dan McCullers to make a big goal line stop or something...

We are starting to hear "Some of the other side" I guess. I can't help but think there were "Wrongs" committed on both ends. JH was never a cancer in the locker room. He was always seen as a leader.

Which is why there is so much shock and ill feelings on the part of the fans...and now the players...

Bud Dupree tweeted "Everyone who thinks Debo is a victim in all this y'all need to fall off a cliff or get the facts".

Im not going to dispute any of that at this point in time. It is all starting to come out. JH may fire back with his point of view...which may shed even more light on the situation. Should be interesting to see.

It is sounding like the conflict left the locker room...and went to New England...
