Agreed . Plus NO ONE here is accounting for injury. I am sure that is a factor in the coaching staff. It's about managing possibilities. One of the top two O stars goes down and it's a completely different look.

Bryant right now has a trade value of next to nothing. If he doesn't improve, he'll still have a negligible trade value in the offseason. However, if he does improve, you might get something for him.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin was noncommittal on Martavis Bryant's role moving forward.
Bryant was inactive against the Lions Sunday night, a game which saw JuJu Smith-Schuster explode for 193 yards and a touchdown, and his coach does not seem to be in a rush to get him back in the lineup. Asked if he was confident Bryant would contribute down the stretch, Tomlin said, "I'm not. We'll see."

We wouldn’t get squat for MB right now. Too risky, a diva and one blunt away from never being available.

Moreover the steelers HAVE invested quite a bit in him. To cut their losses without a stunning return would be crazy.

Nope, you do what Tomlin did. Set him down. Now MB has two weeks to figure out if he wants to be part of this ride. Because with his current value we are essentially in the same boat if we trade him or cut him.

obviously, tomlin has to say this. you cant let him off the hook this early.
thats like putting your kid in timeout for a couple minutes and think its going to change its behavior

MB has the rest of this and next season to show the rest of the NFL the he can be a good team mate and a productive member of a team so he needs to pull his head out of his butt and play ball

Again, this isn't stock. We are talking real people with real emotions. We don't know which way this will turn; we don't know how this guy is going to take this. It could be a negative distraction.

Well he WAS a negative distraction, he got his but sat down, and we beat a pretty good team in their house. Not too shabby.
Best case scenario is that he gets some "I'll show them how good I am" to make a point to the Steelers and the league.

AB, Bryant AND "Juju the kid" firing on all cylinders.......THAT is one heck of a formidable trio.

Gotta at least see if we can make it work.......the potential is too awesome to give up on prematurely.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                      NO WAY.
We have such a great shot at it this year. But what if Brown gets hurt? Or Juju? Then we are back to where we were last year. We will need all these guys before this season is over, just like we'll need Deebo on the pass-rush. As far as enough balls to go around with all of them, if Ben throws better, we'll sustain drives which will result in more offensive plays which should equal enough balls to go around. This BTW, will make our exciting defense even better too!

It all lands on Ben (and Haley).
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

                            Saw this today. Interesting:

Tomlin was blunt after the game Sunday night when asked if he is confident Bryant will contribute to the team after the bye week. “I’m not … We’ll see.”

Case in point, Santonio Holmes, he was definitely traded when high, badumm.
