    PFF Ranks Pouncey

The weakest link on the Steelers OL.... and by a wide margin. PFF score=55 out of 100.

Pouncey is definitely overrated, the offence never misses a beat when he injured

I'm guessing he'll score better than AV this week.

Pouncey's fellow olinemen consider him to be their leader. I trust their input more than some Brit who has a subscription to NFL Game Pass.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

You know I have documented this truth many times here.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Steelers offense does miss something without Pouncey. Pouncey gives the Steelers offense more options to run a wider variety of plays than most centers because of his athletic ability. He's probably loss some power, speed, and explosiveness with all the injuries he's suffered. He can still snap the ball, pull, and get to the 2nd and sometimes 3rd level of a defense effectively.

Yes, Dizz I know you associate "documented" with false. You gonna share "alternative facts".

Isn't that kind of like saying our offense didn't miss a beat without Ben because we had a winning record when he was out? I think so...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Our offense also didn't miss a beat when Hampton went out and Chris Hoke started for 15 games. Was Hoke better?

I agree with you. But I also agree with the sentiment of others that Pouncey has underperformed at the same time.

I think we're spoiled in our expectations having had former centers like Webby and Dirt. I know this sentiment might not be shared by all, but Dirt is my all time favorite and I think he was the best and most versatile lineman we've ever had. And I realize this is unfair, but that's the standard I have in my mind any time I focus in on Pouncey's play.

When Ben is out AN ENTIRE SEASON and our passing game "improves" yes absolutely. And I will give Dizz big props for being the.biggest Landry Jones supporter on this board.

Yeah, I actually made the point that we never missed Casey so he was indeed overpaid. People acted like the defense hinged on his presence when we were fine with Hoke.
