Whoa... did not expect that. Coates IMO, still has a lot to offer in this league. But for our team, I can understand the logic (assuming MB stays clean). I think having a guy like Ayers stuck on the PS, plays into the decision. He's a guy who deserves to be on an active roster, and even with this move, he isn't guaranteed that opportunity.
Just saw this too. So the big question is who returns kicks?
I told everyone that after the Carolina game, that I thought Marcus Tucker was a lock to at least make itover Cobi Hamilton. Well I think after Aryes release today, and this trade that Tucker is all but guaranteed a spot.

Ayers got released? Oh well, that squashes my argument. :P
Yeah with Ayres released, and maybe even Tucker ( We'll see)...Justin Hunter just might be the WR we keep along with DHB..( Mostly for his exceptional special teams play )
To me this is more of the fact that Eli and JuJu have been balling more then anything else. Now JJSS has been banged up but he has game for a rook n numbers what they were I believe now we stay with 6 wide where before I thought we could go 7.

Nah, it will be 6. And remember, our new TE Mcdonald actually has played alot of Slot WR as well. So we might go with 5 WR. But, since JJSS is a RAW Rookie, I think we keep Hunter as well as DHB.
If we would have waited a little longer...we might have gotten more for Coates cause the Titans can now use one.....

Titans really liked Sharpe. They might have had interest in a young Big WR like Coates.

You think we keep Hunter n DHB and only keep 5 wr's? Who are we letting go? Nah, I don't see that at all.

No. I said it might be 5 if JJSS had more experience. And then either Hunter or DHB might be let go. But because JJSS has so little experience...we will keep 6
