Hopefully, an extra year for Dupree, Davis and Burns along with the additions of Watt and JuJu will be enough to turn the tide.
You can't beat the Pats by scoring 9 points in a half and then going 3 and out to start the 2nd half.

I was furious at our defense but after I settled down and looked back I realized we made a mistake or 2 in the first half but we were still in that game. It was the offense that really put our D in a bad spot. 3rd quarter was the back breaker.

Pats were just on fire last year.

I'm with you on this point. I think our D is subpar, certainly not up to Steeler standards. With that said, we knew a SB title would roll through the offense. And they made huge mistakes and didn't capitalize. We expected the D to get lit up, the O had to keep us in that game and they failed miserably.

They were injured, suspended and didn't capitalize. On D, there is a lack of developed talent especially in the secondary. Hence, my frustrations.

Well, training camp just opened and Martavis Bryant cannot practice because he still has not been fully reinstated by the league, and Sammie Coates just had another knee scope procedure and won't be able to start practicing for a few weeks at least.

Anyone still complaining about Juju being a luxury pick?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Yeah, he showed up today, ran the conditioning test, and will be out on the field for practice tomorrow. Bryant and Coates cannot do any of this. The team knew at draft time that Bryant wasn't cleared yet and Coates wasn't healed yet. But fans whined about the pick nonetheless because wideout wasn't a "need" pick. Perhaps the front office actually knows what they are doing after all.

I will say right now that I was bitchin' up a storm about taking JuJu. However, my complaints had the asterisks that JuJu may very well turn out to be a baller and that he was an insurance pick. It was insurance against both Bryant being a brainless ass-clown and Coates' ability to deal with injury. Unbelievable that this insurance policy would pay on both fronts by the first day of camp. If that's the case, then kudos to the Steeler brain trust and please pass the crow.

Hope this whole lack of reinstatement is in no way the fault of Bryant. He may be as much of a difference-maker in the Steeler offense as Bell is.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
