Your dumb question didn't deserve an answer, but since you can't seem to comprehend the obvious, I guess I'll have to spell it out.

Before the draft, the front office knew Bryant was only conditionally reinstated and Coates' multiple injuries were severe enough to still be an issue come camp time.

Because of this, they viewed wideout as a legit need, because they remember what our WR corps' limitations were when Bryant was suspended and Coates was injured last year.

The Juju injury occurred after the draft. The front office is not composed of psychics who can see into the future.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Knowing what we know now, Them taking JuJu was the right thing to do. Back then, I too was shocked at the JuJu pick, but we are not privy to ALL info. And that's a good thing. We need some insurance at the WR position and we got a good one in JuJu. Because we don't know if Bryant makes it through this season. We don't. And we don't know how Coates constant health issues are going to turn out.

Knowing what we know now, our draft looks better to me. And should look better to all of us.

JuJu Smith-Schuster speaks about the age of his teammates, Hines Ward and how Big Ben doesn’t talk to him

The Pittsburgh Steelers second round draft pick spoke to media after his first padded practice of about everything from his age, his teammates and how Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t talk to him.

            by Jeff Hartman
            Aug 3, 2017, 3:40pm EDT

It has to be tough being a rookie in the NFL. When you are surrounded by veterans who have all been there, and done that, it has to be intimidating. When the rookie is 20-years-old, it has to be even more difficult.

When teammates go out, you are typically stuck at home, and this is the exact situation Pittsburgh Steelers second round pick JuJu Smith-Schuster finds himself in. Similar to Artie Burns of 2016, Smith-Schuster is the youngest player on the team, and he spoke about what that is like to local media.

He talked about how when Hines Ward played for the Steelers he was three years old, and how Ben Roethlisberger and James Harrison are old enough to potentially be his father.

Smith-Schuster didn’t stop there, and spoke about his rapport with quarterbacks Joshua Dobbs, fellow rookie, and the future Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger.

When asked what his rapport was like with Roethlisberger, Smith-Schuster joked, “Nah, he don’t talk to me [laughing].” He said the veteran signal caller has pointed out a few things to him, but he ultimately is just trying to do whatever he can to help the team succeed.

It should be noted Smith-Schuster has not just been practicing in the slot, which many assumed would happen after he was drafted, but also practicing on the outside. His versatility could pay off in the long run for both him, and the Steelers.

You can see the full media session below, via the Steelers official Twitter acccount:

I know. He was only able to score 25 TDs in three seasons at USC...

Hines Ward couldn't separate either but 1,000 catches later the rest is history. JuJu is bigger and potentially has better hands and catching radius. He also comes out of college as potentially a more polished route runner

wrong answer. he was a stud, super duper, steal draft pick when he participated(according to you). the next day he was on the sideline. so i was waiting for you to tell me what he was now. still super duper or not?
