The Pats are certainly willing to take on talented players that have worn out their welcome in other places, but I don't Belichick would consider AB a good fit.

But strange things happen - I would not have thought Martellus Bennett would work out here, and he's been a revelation. Just as off-the-wall as Gronk, but a different kind of wall.

Sometimes a change of scenery is the right thing for all involved. And sometimes patience is needed, although I would think that at age 28 immaturity should no longer be an issue for this player.

AB would have to resign. How can the Steelers resign him? Ok, my bad I just pulled a Ruthless but I couldn't help myself. So, you propose not re-signing AB, a top 2 WR in the NFL. Nice! What other genius offseason moves do have in store for us?

It's to much money tied up for an individual. He's not a team guy. Get some value while you can. Someone will trade, he ain't making the big $ yet.

While this probably isn't a popular sentiment, I'm not in favor of paying too much for the WR position irregardless of the player. I think the position is a dime a dozen and you can get a better return on other positions.

Clearly, AB is not going to make that much difference in our ability to beat someone like the Pats in the playoffs. A top Dlineman, OLB, or CB can make a bigger difference.

I think it's most prudent to get a great QB and build the best team you can in the trenches on both sides of the ball. IMHO, the path to another SuperBowl is QB + Dline (possibly extending outward to the front 7).

Now that said, do we have anyone better to spend money on besides AB? If not, then you give him a contract, but I would be hesitant to commit for too long because he's just a WR and there's a million more of them that are good enough with a great QB.

And I completely recognize AB is unique talent. But I would say the same about Randy Moss or Jerry Rice. WRs don't win you championships.

Also worth noting, we won a SuperBowl with Ward, Randle El, and Ced as our top WRs. None of those world beaters have half the talent of AB.

One thing i've never seen from BROWN was him complain he didn't get the ball. He's always been an on field professional. Even when BEN was out and his numbers dropped last year.

Belechick has made a career out of taking players that no one else wanted or desired and turn them into productive players for the Pats. AB isn't on the outs with the organization, it's the OP's opinion that he is. He will in all likelihood become a very wealthy Steeler in the near future.

Congrats by the way, I wish Brady and/or Belechick would retire already.
