Don't resign AB

Colleges today are turning out pro-ready receivers at a very good rate. I wouldn't break the bank for A-B. Oh, he will get his money, just hope we don't overpay.Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!
I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.Comment

While this probably isn't a popular sentiment, I'm not in favor of paying too much for the WR position irregardless of the player. I think the position is a dime a dozen and you can get a better return on other positions.
Clearly, AB is not going to make that much difference in our ability to beat someone like the Pats in the playoffs. A top Dlineman, OLB, or CB can make a bigger difference.
I think it's most prudent to get a great QB and build the best team you can in the trenches on both sides of the ball. IMHO, the path to another SuperBowl is QB + Dline (possibly extending outward to the front 7).
Now that said, do we have anyone better to spend money on besides AB? If not, then you give him a contract, but I would be hesitant to commit for too long because he's just a WR and there's a million more of them that are good enough with a great QB.
And I completely recognize AB is unique talent. But I would say the same about Randy Moss or Jerry Rice. WRs don't win you championships.Comment

Not for nothing but AB is one of the best receivers in the game.
Unfortunately he can be taken out of a game by doubling him.
If we want to pay big,big $$$$ for a guy that can occupy 2 defenders on most plays then we need to be smart enough to use the other guys on the field.sigpicComment

Pete, your sooo right. But we need to have crediable options opposite AB. Sammy (hands of stone) Coates? Hamilton?
Other then James and Rodgers, Ben didn't have much. I'm hoping like hell Bryant can come back and be the force that he was. We neeeeeed a legit WR opposite AB.Comment

Yes, but with few exceptions, the Patriots second and third options CATCH THE BALL. Steelers? Not so much.Comment

There have been several reported incidents this season, most recently in the Patriots' game, when DeAngelo got the call on the early TD. Reportedly, AB was sulking because he thought he should've gotten the ball.

The team is undisplined in the locker room and on the field. Displine translates on and off the field. Please go see Lagarett Blount's interview.
Brown was upset that he didn't get the red zone call instead of Deangelo Williams. Brown has lost his mind. How is this allowed? This type of environment doesn't win championships.
